Here we are looking at a sample Microsoft Project® file.

Journyx Projectlink™ is a plug-in

for Microsoft Project ®, and since it works through a XML interface,

there is no import and exporting, only a bi-directional

synchronization.

Simply go to your tools menu, where you will

see a selection for ‘Journyx Integration’

By selecting that, you will bring up your

integration information.

There are three options for

‘Task Loggability’

Use Exact MSP Schedule –

Tasks will be loggable within Timesheet between the start and end dates only.

Task Grace Period –

Task will be loggable a certain number of days before and after their start and end

dates.

Always open –

All tasks are always open within Timesheet.

You will then see a progress bar indicating how many Tasks,

Resources, and Resource Assignments are going to be

synchronized.

Indicating both the number of new and modified items.

This will show the progress of the synchronization.

And that’s it. All of the resources, projects, and tasks along with their

appropriate information were just passed over to Journyx Timesheet™. As hours are worked to these tasks, those hours will be

passed back over to MS Project®.

Here is the project with the extended work break down structure

populated into Journyx Timesheet™.

From the employee’s perspective, only those tasks that are assigned and loggable will

show up on their time sheet. The employee can then enter additional information and

then enter the amount of time.

Time sheet data will then go through the appropriate

approval process and ultimately be synchronized

back to MS Project® as actual hours worked.
