Later on, a cheque of GGM(T)/CONCOR payment for fresh order of 1000 BLC wagons. This is the highest ever order (of BLC) placed on Jamalpur shops, priworkmanship and time bound delivery schedule.
2. CELEBRATION:
• 153rd Foundation Day(8th February being Sunday) followed by “Prabhat Daur” and “Blood Donation Camp” on 8volunteers came forward, out of which barring 7 persons, 44 units of blood was collected.

Inauguration of 40 T Road Crane.
This is the highest capacity road crane and with this can de-wheel a wagon body from bogies, which will greatly speed up the disposal of condemned wagons.
Later on, a cheque of ₹ 73 crores was handed over by GM(T)/CONCOR in presence of Member Mechanical, as advance
payment for fresh order of 1000 BLC wagons. This is the highest ever order (of BLC) placed on Jamalpur shops, primarily workmanship and time bound delivery schedule.

5.2 ASSISTANCE – SINGLE TENDER CASE ON OEM:
Proposal No. Dy.CME(Prod)/M&P/01/Shifting of machines for shifting of 03 machines from Wheel Shop to Machine Shop by OEM through Single Tender is at HQ for finance vetting and approval of GM since 09.12.14 – The case may be looked into.

6. MODERNIZATION OF JAMALPUR WORKSHOP:
• Sanctioned vide P.B. item No.418 of 2008-09 on 03.04.2008. Estimate sanctioned
by GM on 10.5.10 (Estimate No.24/CAO/CON of 2010-11, P.B No.527 of 2010-11). Total Estimated cost is ₹ 117.46 Cr. The project cost break up is as under:

7. PERFORMANCE:
i) Diesel POH :
• The outturn of Diesel POH has been 06 against target of 6.33 for the month.
• The average cycle time for February’15 is 25.00 Calendar days and 19.58 Working days for all type of repairs.

ii) POH of Wagons :
• Outturn of Wagon POH has been 421 VUs (POH - 354, Unloadable ‘C’ Category Repair - 47 & Rebuilding - 20) against the target of 435 in February’15. Outturn became less due to the non-availability of materials like Striker Castings, DOM Cylinders and LSDs. Further type wise uniform feed was not there during 2nd week of February and a large nos. of BOBRNs (much more than the target) was received (85 against Target of 65).

vii) Manufacture of Jamalpur Jack :
• 13 Nos. of Jamalpur Jacks have been manufactured against the target of 12.5. However cumulative outturn upto the month is 139 against the proportionate target of 137.5.
viii) Manufacture of 140 Ton Crane :
• Outturn was Nil against Annual Target of 2. Estimate sanctioned, 10 requisitions of major items have been sent to HQ for procurement.
ix) Manufacture of 20 Ton Crane :
• One crane has to be manufactured during 2014-15 for which the required materials are under process of procurement.
x) Manufacture of BLC wagons :
• 45 Nos. of BLC wagons have been manufactured against the target of 30 in February’15.
xi) Manufacture of BOXN HL wagons :
• Outturn was Nil against the target of 25 in February’15. Order of 500 BOXN HL has already been completed. For further order of 109 BOXN HL, CRF, Huck Bolts and Hand Brake Arrangement are yet to be received. Steel Plates, CBC, Wheel Sets and Bogies were partly received.

xii) Manufacture of ICF Bogie Frame :
• Outturn was Nil against the target of 15 in February’15. Yearly target is 180 whereas order exists for 113 only (100 Nos. against PBI No.718/2014-15 and 13 Nos. out of the order of 100 as per PBI No.738/2014-15). Estimate for 100 ICF bogies is under HQ finance vetting.

xiii) Manufacture of HCC Bogies :
• Outturn was Nil in February’15 against the target of 6.67. However manufacturing of 02 Nos. of HCC Bogies is nearing completion. Further work on 14th Bogie Bolster is in progress. Also component fitting work in 11th Bogie Bolster and in 12th Bogie Side Frame is going on. 30 Nos. of L S Beams are ready.
Final inspection of the above 02 bogies has been done jointly by RDSO and JMP’s representatives (vide Joint Inspection Note No. Nil of dated 23.02.15 to 24.02.15). As per the Joint Inspection Report the bogies are dimensionally suitable. Final clearance will be given by RDSO only after Welding Test Report of CMT Lab, Jamalpur, which is expected shortly.
However fund allocation against PBI No.527 is only ₹ 1000.
xiv) POH/SR/MLR of 140 T Cranes :
• Special MLR of 140 T Crane No.142040/LDH/NR has been completed in February’15.
• Cumulative outturn achieved upto the month is 8 against the proportionate target of 7.33.
xv) POH/Retrofitment/SR of 20 T / 10 T Cranes :
• POH/Retrofitment/SR outturn of 20 T crane for the month was Nil .
xvi) POH of Tower Car :
• POH of Tower Car No.839/M-II/ASN completed during the month.

11. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:
To improve efficiency and to upkeep the hands training arrangement is being made regularly through BTC, PTS and Simulator . Details are in Annexure - 22.

Following action has been taken in the workshop as well as colonies for energy conservation:- Justified power regulation has been introduced to earn more benefit through energy conservation. Regular raids are being conducted to debar energy theft. In addition undernoted planning is in force to conserve energy.

iii) Various important information such as, Staff Strength, Workshop Outturns, Incentive earnings of the staff etc. are being regularly updated in the Workshop Portal of Railway Board.
iv) Various workshop performances related information are being put into the public domain by regular updating Jamalpur Workshop portion of Eastern Railway web portal.
