INTRODUCTION Jurong Shipyard Pte. Ltd. (JSPL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of SembCorp Marine Ltd, a company listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) Main board. Jurong Shipyard has over four decades of experience in the marine engineering business. Our history dates back to as early as 1963 when Jurong Shipyard Ltd was established as a joint- venture between the Go vernment of Singapore and Ishikawajima Harima Heavy Industries Co Ltd (IHI) of Japan. Today, JSPL is a one-stop total shipyard offering a comprehensive range o f services in ship repair, shipbuilding, ship conversion, rig building and o ffshore engineering. SHIP REPAIR Having been in the marine industry for over four decades, we have accumulated in-depth knowledge and a team of committed personnel who are totally dedicated to complete your repair job on time. From large tankers to specialized vessels, JSPL has the capabilities and capacities to handle your most demanding project. Our largest graving dock, with a capacity of 500,000 dwt, allows ULCC tankers to dock at ease. This, accompanied by berthing quays with a maximum draft of 9 meters and other docking facilities, makes Jurong Shipyard an ideal dock-of-call for a diverse range of vessels. Our record of accomplishment shows that different types of vessels that called on us for repairs and upgrades, such as Ta nkers (VLCCs and ULCCs), Chemical tankers, Gas carriers (LNG and LPG), Bulk vessels, Container vessels, Cargo ships , Navy vesse ls, Dredges, Derrick  barges, FPSO upgrading, Ro-Ro vessels , Drilling tenders, and Supply vessels.

SHIPBUILDING 

At Jurong Shipyard, we design and build

specialized vessels of high quality and

reliability. Our record of accomplishment

shows a range of different vessels

constructed at our yard, such as Proprietary

design, and construction of 1,078 to 2,600

TEU container vessels, Freedom class

vessels (14,800 dwt), Multi-purpose cargo vessels, Ocean tankers (90,000 dwt), Product and

chemical tankers of 11,500 dwt, Cable laying, and repair vessels, Tin bucket dredgers, Ocean-

going tugs, Ice-breaking tugs, and Ro-ro passenger ferries.

SHIP CONVERSION & OFFSHORE

Carving a niche for ourselves in this specialized market,

our ship conversion business covers the offshore

conversion and specialized ship conversion. Our offshore

conversion projects include conversion of tankers to

Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units,

conversion of tankers to Floating Storage and Offloading

(FSO) units, and reconstruction of derrick/crane semi-

submersible rigs to Floating Production Units (FPU).

While, ship conversion projects include power barge conversion, conversion of tanker to

lightering vessel, conversion of cargo vessel to container vessel, jumboisation and

dejumboisation, pipe laying barge conversion, and vessel reconstruction.

RIG BUILDING

Our accumulated experience in offshore new

 building projects include the construction of 

work-over rigs and ultra-deepwater sixth

generation dynamic positioning semi-

submersible rigs for the offshore oil & gas

industry. We pride ourselves in our ability to

meet the intricate requirements of our 

customers. We have a pool of capable

engineers working alongside with an efficient project management team and a highly skilled

workforce to ensure that the projects we undertake, delivered timely and professionally.

OFFSHORE ENGINEERING

Our offshore engineering activities consist of 

repairs and upgrades of jack-up drilling rigs

and semi-submersible rigs, fabrication and

installation of offshore structures and

upgrading of drill ships. Our engineering and

 project management teams are devoted to

conducting detailed feasibility and conceptual

studies to ensure that every project anchored

on the right foundation and delivered to you on time.
