The idea for this came from efforts to create more green space within Caracas by using the city’s river as a way to promote urban integration. In order to generate a multipurpose space, a linear-parkbuilt on top of the river was envisioned. Over 35 km in length and run- ning east and west throughout Caracas, this linear park seeks to connect various green spaces within the city, improving accessibility. Granted that Caracas has one of the lowest rates of green space per capita in all of Latin America this project sought to create an oasis in a city lacking space where one can reconnect with nature.

The square- meters is located in downtown Caracas city. This space was just a small parking spot for many years. The client government wanted to re-activate this space with twoprograms: a square that works as foyer for the revitalized theat- er and a coffee shop that must activate this space.
