Important Beliefs

removed from Israel, their homeland.⬜Moses- most important prophet in

Judaism, the leader who freed the Jews from slavery in Egypt.

Holidays

⬜ Hanukkah- A Jewish festival, lasting eight days in December, that honors the building of their temple.

⬜ Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah - a special ceremony on a boy’s/girl’s 13th birthday that shows they’re becoming adults in the Jewish religion.

⬜ Passover- celebrated to honor when the Jews were freed from slavery in Egypt by Moses.

⬜ Rosh Hashanah- Jewish new year⬜ Yom Kippur- The holiest day of the Jewish year,

on which Jews fast and say prayers
