Volunteer Form

‘Skill sCool’ is a concept that provides a positive introduction to the exciting world of judo, beyond the club environment.

The event offers opportunities for players, volunteers, technical officials and referees to learn new skills while delivering a key stage in the development of the individual’s life in judo.

Vital to the development is the introduction to skills, knowledge and experiences at the appropriate stages of each individual’s journey; ‘Skill sCool’ delivers these with the main focus being on fun and enjoyment.

JudoScotland is looking to recruit volunteers for 2 areas at the ‘Skill sCool’ event. Please see below:

1. Super Hi-5’s – Challenging Skill Development

This area provides participants with a platform from which they can build movement skills, competencies & concepts and enhance cooperation.

JudoScotland is looking for volunteers for the Technical Officials area; no prior judo knowledge is required. Training will be provided at the beginning of the day that will provide a clear picture of your role, the event and the pathway to the next opportunity should you wish to take it.

2. Mad About Judo Zone – Integrated Physical Literacy Area for Family Involvement

By looking at physical challenges, we will create activity stations to promote fun ways of developing individual physical literacy.

JudoScotland is looking for volunteers for the ‘Mad About Judo Zone’ to help create a challenging fun-packed atmosphere; no prior judo knowledge is required. Training will be provided at the beginning of the day that will provide a clear picture of your role, the event and the pathway to the next opportunity should you wish to take it.

These fantastic opportunities would suit those who enjoy engaging with and inspiring the next generation; our motto is ‘Ganbatte’ - ‘Try Your Best’!
