showed us, there are leaders and there are dreamers. Leaders make things happen. Dreamers have a vision. The truly special people do both. One way that Jessie has demonstrated her leadership in our school recently was through the organisation of the Canteen Bandana Appeal pyjama day on the last day of Term 2. As a school we raised $68.00 for canteen.I look forward to working with all the leaders in our school, to supporting you to develop your leadership skills and capabilities and providing you with opportunities to grow as leaders and learners.Nga mihi nui, Julia.

The theme this year is ‘narrative’ where students will be supported to tell the story of a person, place or thing that is important to them. The speech writing will be done at school but we ask, that in the coming weeks, you have discussions at home about what or who your child might like to speak about, and help them to gather important information to go into their speech. Students will need their topic and information at school by August 22nd, the end of week 5. Ms Edmond is happy to discuss options for speeches with parents of the younger students. Invitation:Please remember our OPEN DAY and SCIENCE FAIR next Tuesday August 5th.We will hold a presentation for parents in the Nest at 12:30.From 1pm the classrooms and hall will be open for viewing. At 2pm there will be the Science Fair prizegiving followed by a shared afternoon tea.We look forward to seeing lots of you there.
