Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hilbrich of Bedford Village have announced the birth of a son, their first child at Northern Westchester Hospital on Wednesday, July 15. The infant will be called Christopher Morgan and weighed seven pounds fourteen and a half ounces. Mrs. Hilbrich is the former Lorraine Kramer of Bedford Hills. The Rev. John C. Harper, of the St. Matthews Church, Bedford Cen- ter, and Mrs. Harper and three children will leave next week for a month's stay at Dennis. Cape Cod. During the rector's vacation, his assistant. Rev. Nina Morehouse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. More- house of Indian Hill Road, has her heart's desire and is now the proud owner of a three-year-old horse named "Missy." Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. More- house of Indian Hill Road, Bed- ford leave on Saturday for North Hero, Vt. where they will pick up their son, Robert C. Jr. whohas been spending the month of July at Camp Abnaki. The Morehouse family, which also includes Nina and Bud, will tour the New Eng- land States and some of Canada for a week. James R. Warner Jr., who has been attending C a m p Abnaski, Hero, Vt. with his friend, Robert Morehouse, will return to Bedford on Saturday. His grandmother who has been spending a few days with her daughter, Mrs. James R. Warner of State Road, Bedford will return to her summer cottage at Lake Chateaugay in the Adiron- dacks. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sullivan and children of Hickory Kingdom Road have been spending the past two weeks at Cape Cod, Mass. Mr. and Mrs. John Leifheit and family of Ridge Road, Katonah left last Thursday for a two weeks vacation at Interlaken in the Fin- ger Lakes region of New York. The Leifheits marked their first wedding anniversary on July 12, Mr. Leifheit is on the teaching staff of the Bedford Village School. Mr. and Mrs. James Sullivan of Hickory Kingdom Road have taken a cottage at Fairfield Beach, Conn, for a month. A dinner for the benefit of the Middle Patent Methodist Church will be held on Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Armonk Methodist Church. A lamplight communion service was conducted at this 112-year-old church in Middle Patent on Sun- da>, with the Rev. Paul M. Allen, pastor of the Armonk Methodist Church officiating. Mrs. Cortlandt S. Van Renssel- ear, a member of St. Matthew's Church parish has accepted the appointment as representative of the Diocesan Altar Guild at West- field State Farm, women's prison in Bedford Hills, and will work closely with the inmates of the two institutions there in caring for the altar in the chapel. Henry S. Juher, son of Henry V. Juher of Succabone Road, has been elected vice president and mana- ger of the Baltimore-Warner Paper Co. Inc., Baltimore, Md., a sub- sidiary of Carter Rice Storrs and Bement, Inc. of Boston. OFF TO EUROPE BRIARCLIFF MANOR—Vincent Farley, a recent graduate of Bn- archff High School, is leaving to- day for Europe with a delegation of the American Junior Red Cross for a study and training program. Farley and his fellow delegates met with President Eisenhower and Gen. Alfred M. Gruenther in Washington, D.C.. last week. Sub- sequently the delegates studied the operations of the United Nations, and on their European trip they will visit the Netherlands, Luxem- bourg, Germany, Italy, France and the headquarters of the Inter- national Red Cross in Geneva. She wore her maternal grandmother's wedding dress of ottoman silk trimmed with the rose point lace worn by her mother and grandmother with matclung headpiece and carried a bouquet of white roses. Debra Clifton Makes Trip to Kisco Alone Debra Susan Clifton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Clifton of Gainesville, Fla. flew from Jack- sonville, Fla. on June 21 to the Newark Airport in New Jersey, where she was met by her grand- father, J. Everett Sarles and grandaunt, Miss Julia Sarles. The seven-year-old miss made the trip alone and will remain in Mount Kisco until the end of August, when her parents will arrive for a va- cation. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton are both working with the Coastal Engi- neering Laboratory at the Univer- sity of Florida. Mr. Clifton is on summer vacation from his regular studies at the University where in September he will enter his junior year in the Building Construction Department, and Mrs. Clifton is a regular employe (draftsman- cartographer) of the laboratory. Tiralosi are newcomers to Pound Ridge, having moved into their newly built home on Pheasant Road on July 3. They have a son, Timothy Francis, who was born on June 2 in the Westchester Square Hospital in the Bronx, where he weighed in at seven pounds one ounce. The Tiralcsis came to the North Coun- ty from the Bronx. Mrs. Tiralosi is the former Miss Gloria Ferra- cane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ferracane of the Bronx, who welcomed their first grand- child. Mrs. Snow is the former Miss Thelma Bathrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur C. Bathrick*of Milford, Conn., who now have eight grandchildren. Bonnie Louise is the fifth grandchild for Robert Charles Snow of Newfoundland. Her paternal grandmother is de- ceased. Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Miss Helen Penelope Merrill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Katte Merrill of Cantito Rd., was married Saturday to Bernard Pierre Brouder in the Chapel m the Woods. Sr. Matthews Church. Mr. Brouder is the son of Mrs. Alphonse Brouder of Paris, Pranc?, and the late Mr. Brouder.

The 4.30 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. John Harper. The reception was held at "Picket Gates", the home of Uie bride's parents.

Mr. Merrill gave his daugh­ter in marriage. She wore her maternal grandmother's wedding dress of ottoman silk trimmed with the rose point lace worn by her mother and grandmother with matclung headpiece and carried a bouquet of white roses.

Debra Clifton Makes Trip to Kisco Alone

Debra Susan Clifton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Clifton of Gainesville, Fla. flew from Jack­sonville, Fla. on June 21 to the Newark Airport in New Jersey, where she was met by her grand­father, J. Everett Sarles and grandaunt, Miss Julia Sarles. The seven-year-old miss made the trip alone and will remain in Mount Kisco until the end of August, when her parents will arrive for a va­cation.

Mr. and Mrs. Clifton are both working with the Coastal Engi­neering Laboratory at the Univer­sity of Florida. Mr. Clifton is on summer vacation from his regular studies at the University where in September he will enter his junior year in the Building Construction Department, and Mrs. Clifton is a regular employe (draftsman-cartographer) of the laboratory.

Kathy Hunter Feted On Fifth Birthday

Kathy Hunter, five - year - old dauther of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hunter of Leonard Street. Mount Kisco, had a birthday party on Saturday to which her parents in­voked ten of her small friends.

In the Methodist Church of New Canaan, Conn., on Saturday Miss Daisy Sharpies became the bride of Richard Schramm. The Rev. Francis W. Hensley of Stoneham, Mass., officiated, assisted by Dr. Merntt B. Queeen of Poung Ridge. A reception followed at the Darien Community Assn. in Darien, Conn.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Winston Singleton Sharp­ies of Trinity Pass, Pound Ridge The bridegroom's parents are Mr, and Mrs. August Schramm of Kin-mcut Rd., Pound Ridge.

Given in marriage by her fa­ther, the bride wore a gown of loom taffeta trimmed with Alen-con lace and seed pearls and a cap of matching lace. She carried a cascade bouquet of stephanotis and cymbidiums.

Mrs. Winston Singleton Sharpies Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pa.&ister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor, and Miss Deborah Schramm, the bridegroom's sister, was flowergirl.

are newcomers to Pound Ridge, having moved into their newly built home on Pheasant Road on July 3. They have a son, Timothy Francis, who was born on June 2 in the Westchester Square Hospital in the Bronx, where he weighed in at seven pounds one ounce.
