July 30, 2020 n Greybull Standard n 9 Greybull Police Report July 20 — 2:30 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to assist a woman with a civil issue involving property on Hilltop Drive. 3:54 p.m.: A tow truck was re- portedly blocking traffic on First Avenue South, but the responding officers found it legally parked. 6:45 p.m.; Officers assisted the DFS in the collection of a urinaly- sis. July 21 — 2:53 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a report of a theft that had occurred. After taking the report, the item was returned to its owner. No charges were filed. 3:02 p.m.: Police are investigating a report of a theft from a home on Eighth Avenue South. 3:13 p.m.: Officers were sum- moned to help a woman on Fourth Avenue North who said that a neighbor was cutting down her trees. Advice was given. July 23 — 4:58 p.m.: Officers re- ceived a report of a theft from a woman’s bank account. The mat- ter is under investigation. 12:34 p.m.: Officers assisted am- bulance personnel on First Avenue North, where an elderly woman had extremely high blood sugar. The woman was transported to the hospital by ambulance. 3:07 p.m.: The GPD is investigating a report of a hit-and-run accident on First Avenue North. 11:20 p.m.: A woman brought a dog into the GPD. The animal was taken to the pound. July 24 — 4 a.m.: A woman on South Fourth Street reported hear- ing suspicious noises in her back yard. Officers checked the area and could not locate anything un- usual. 6:38 p.m.: Officers assisted am- bulance personnel on Seventh Avenue South, where a 36-year- old woman was having chest pains. July 25 — 9:20 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a report of vandalism on South Second Street. Officers spoke with two teenagers in the area and discovered that no crime had been committed. Sheriff’s Report July 20 – An officer carried ballots to the county clerk’s office. A deputy gave a warning to a resident on U.S. Highway 16/20, Manderson, regarding loose dogs. A BHCSO officer cleared some de- bris off the road at the (now closed by state) Greybull Rest Area on U.S. 14/20. July 21 – An officer shared infor- mation clarifying civil court issues with wife and kids regarding cus- tody orders. An officer did a business/building check at Terralogics in Basin. At 7:34 a.m. dispatch received an emergency locate on South Fourth Street, Basin, where a GPS alert accidently went off. All was well. A wallet and cellphone found in the Shell area were given to a BHC officer. July 22 – An officer assisted a truck/trailer driver on Wyoming 32, Emblem, secure his load so that the trailer’s license plate was not obscured. A caller from Wyoming 295 in BHC provided information about a blue Lifetime kayak that had been lost in the Shoshone River on July 18. BHCSO assisted Cody Police in an attempt to locate a subject. An officer set up a presentation at the BHCSO on human trafficking and technology to share informa- tion with the community. A small, white car was report- edly parked in the same location for five days between milepost 27 and milepost 30 on U.S. 14, Shell. The call was referred to another agency. July 23 – Forty or 50 goats were reported loose on Wyoming 30, Burlington, at 5:40 a.m. They were not present during a later patrol. The BHCSO assisted another agen- cy following an accident just out- side of Big Horn County. An officer assisted a member of the public in a matter outside of the county. Law enforcement participated in a public safety meeting at the BHCSO in Basin. A cow was reported out on Wyoming 30, Burlington. Officers participated in a public safety/COVID-19 meeting. An officer assisted a person at the BHCSO in Basin. The county clerk’s security alarm activated close to 9 p.m.; it was determined a false alarm. July 24– Cody Regional Health ambulance, BHCSO and Burlington Fire Department all responded to a brush fire out of control on Road 10, Burlington. The fire was doused and no injuries occurred. Dispatch assisted a person who came into the BHCSO with some questions. An officer completed a business/ building check at Big Horn Clinic on North Sixth Street, Basin. A person reported finding a phone at Willow Drive and South Ninth Street in Basin. The information was shared with the BHCSO dis- patch July 25 – At 6:44 a.m. several goats were reported to be on Wyoming 30 at milepost 119. The call was referred to another agency. An officer completed a business check at the Dry Creek Country Store in Burlington. A BHC officer participated in a community relations event at the Manderson Town Park on School Avenue, Manderson. An abandoned vehicle was re- ported at milepost 29 on U.S. 14 in BHC. An officer completed a business check at Overland Express Mart, Greybull. A car-versus-deer incident at mile- post 108 on Wyoming 30, Otto, was referred to another agency. An officer assisted the Basin Police Department after an open door was found on a business on Cloud Peak Avenue. An officer prepared to backup the Greybull PD following a case of vandalism at the Greybull park; the call was canceled. Cody Regional Ambulance re- sponded to a home where a per- son had reportedly suffered a con- cussion. They were unable to get a person to come to the door. The person had already been taken to the ER by another person. July 26 – A person attempting to use the flashlight on their phone accidently called 911. An officer completed a business check at Maverik Country Store in Greybull. A person reported an assault that is alleged to have occurred in Otto. The case is under investigation. Dispatch received a call about a lost dog on Third Avenue South, Greybull. The dog came home. A person reported an injured deer at milepost 201 on U.S. 16/20 south of Greybull. A person reported a lost phone. A call about cows getting out at milepost 89 on U.S. 14, Emblem, was referred to another agency. An abandoned vehicle at milepost 28 on U.S. 14, in BHC was gone during later patrol. A one-vehicle rollover accident oc- curred just across the Park County line; the BHCSO responded and deferred to Park County Sheriff’s Office. An officer completed a building check at Overland Express Mart, Basin. A missing person call for overdue campers was determined to be in Sheridan County so the call was referred to SCSO. July 27 – A person noted some debris, including a baby stroller, that had been dumped or fallen out of a pickup at milepost 111 on Wyoming 30, Otto. The BHCSO has possession of the stroller. July 4 is history and the Big Horn County Fair is in full swing, restructured to meet social distancing standards. Deany Delaney will host the Shell Valley Women’s Coffee on Thursday, Aug. 6 at her home, 550 Hwy. 14, west of Shell. Special guests will be former Shell residents Pricilla Jezorski and Buddy Wilsher. If you are well and comfortable attending, please do. If you have reservations, please know your concerns and feelings are respected and understood. The coffee begins at 9:30 a.m. and all Shell area women are encouraged to attend. For more information or further directions, give Deany a call at 765-4732. Members of the Wild Roses Garden Club met at the Shell Community Church on Thursday, July 9 for a trip to the mountains to identify and take pictures of wildflowers. The group was led by local photographers Marion Dickenson and Andrea Tolman. The wild flowers were beautiful and everyone enjoyed the outing. The Wild Roses Garden Club will hold its annual fall carry-in Thursday, Aug. 13, at the home of Veda Gerrard, 3247 Valley View Rd, off U.S. Hwy. 14. The picnic begins at 5 p.m., and those attending are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. For more information or directions, give Veda a call at 765- 2837. Anyone interested in joining the group can contact Jade Smith at 765-9239 for information regarding the club. Shell Community Church and Greybull Presbyterian held their joint annual Church on the Mountain services on July 26 at Shell Campground, off Ranger Creek. The group social distanced and enjoyed a morning of prayer and praise. Following the service, the group shared a carry-in lunch and the chance to visit with the folks they hadn’t seen in several months. Wendy and John Hoskins of Riverton joined the group for the third year and provided music for the group. Shell Community Church meets Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. Anyone wishing to attend is warmly welcomed. The Shell Cowboy Church held their fish fry on July 26, at the Community Hall. The Shell Cowboy Church meets at 6:30 p.m. every Sunday at the Community Hall for a non-traditional service of prayer and Bible study. Town of Deaver (Owner) invites Bidders to submit sealed Bids for Deaver School Demolition, which includes, but is not limited to the demolition, including pre-demolition work activities required at five buildings, with the Maintenance building as an alternate. The buildings to be demolished include (aprox SF): Middle School (20,000 SF), Old Gym (8,000 SF), High School (7,000 SF), Maintenance (6,000 SF) and Gymnasium (16,000 SF). The site the buildings to be demolished is sitting on is approximately 3 acres total. The Project includes the removal of vegetation, equipment, and debris from the Site and all materials and equipment, services and construction inherent to the Work.

The Work shall be substantially complete by February 28, 2018 and completed and ready for

Greybull Police ReportJuly 20 — 2:30 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to assist a woman with a civil issue involving property on Hilltop Drive.3:54 p.m.: A tow truck was re-portedly blocking traffic on First Avenue South, but the responding officers found it legally parked.6:45 p.m.; Officers assisted the DFS in the collection of a urinaly-sis. July 21 — 2:53 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a report of a theft that had occurred. After taking the report, the item was returned to its owner. No charges were filed.3:02 p.m.: Police are investigating a report of a theft from a home on Eighth Avenue South.3:13 p.m.: Officers were sum-moned to help a woman on Fourth Avenue North who said that a neighbor was cutting down her trees. Advice was given.July 23 — 4:58 p.m.: Officers re-ceived a report of a theft from a woman’s bank account. The mat-ter is under investigation.12:34 p.m.: Officers assisted am-bulance personnel on First Avenue North, where an elderly woman had extremely high blood sugar. July 22 – An officer assisted a truck/trailer driver on Wyoming 32, Emblem, secure his load so that the trailer’s license plate was not obscured.A caller from Wyoming 295 in BHC provided information about a blue Lifetime kayak that had been lost in the Shoshone River on July 18.BHCSO assisted Cody Police in an attempt to locate a subject.An officer set up a presentation at the BHCSO on human trafficking and technology to share informa-tion with the community.A small, white car was report-edly parked in the same location for five days between milepost 27 and milepost 30 on U.S. 14, Shell. July 23 – Forty or 50 goats were reported loose on Wyoming 30, Burlington, at 5:40 a.m. They were not present during a later patrol.The BHCSO assisted another agen-cy following an accident just out-side of Big Horn County.An officer assisted a member of the public in a matter outside of the county.Law enforcement participated in a public safety meeting at the BHCSO in Basin.A cow was reported out on Wyoming 30, Burlington.Officers participated in a public safety/COVID-19 meeting.An officer assisted a person at the BHCSO in Basin.The county clerk’s security alarm activated close to 9 p.m.; it was

determined a false alarm. July 24– Cody Regional Health ambulance, BHCSO and Burlington Fire Department all responded to a brush fire out of control on Road 10, Burlington. The fire was doused and no injuries occurred.Dispatch assisted a person who came into the BHCSO with some questions.An officer completed a business/building check at Big Horn Clinic on North Sixth Street, Basin.A person reported finding a phone at Willow Drive and South Ninth Street in Basin. This Week in Big Horn County

The summer has flown by, despite the pandemic. July 4 is history and the Big Horn County Fair is in full swing, restructured to meet social distancing standards.

Deany Delaney will host the Shell Valley Women’s Coffee on Thursday, Aug. 6 at her home, 550 Hwy. 14, west of Shell. Special guests will be former Shell residents Pricilla Jezorski and Buddy Wilsher. If you are well and comfortable attending, please do. If you have reservations, please know your concerns and feelings are respected and understood. The coffee begins at 9:30 a.m. and all Shell area women are encouraged to attend. For more information or further directions, give Deany a call at 765-4732.

Members of the Wild Roses Garden Club met at the Shell Community Church on Thursday, July 9 for a trip to the mountains to identify and take pictures of wildflowers. The group was led by local photographers Marion Dickenson and Andrea Tolman. The wild flowers were beautiful and everyone enjoyed the outing.

The Wild Roses Garden Club will hold its annual fall carry-in Thursday, Aug. 13, at the home of Veda Gerrard, 3247 Valley View Rd, off U.S. Hwy. 14. The picnic begins at 5 p.m., and those attending are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. For more information or directions, give Veda a call at 765-2837. Anyone interested in

Shell Community Church and Greybull Presbyterian held their joint annual Church on the Mountain services on July 26 at Shell Campground, off Ranger Creek. The group social distanced and enjoyed a morning of prayer and praise. Following the service, the group shared a carry-in lunch and the chance to visit with the folks they hadn’t

seen in several months. Wendy and John Hoskins of Riverton joined the group for the third year and provided music for the group.

Shell Community Church meets Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. Anyone wishing to attend is warmly welcomed.

The Shell Cowboy Church held their fish fry on July 26, at the Community Hall. The Shell Cowboy Church meets at 6:30 p.m. every Sunday at the Community Hall for a non-traditional service of
