Vacation Bible School

International Spy Academy 2018

We welcome you to Hillsdale Baptist Church today; and as you see, much of our building has undergone a major transformation for the Kick Off for our VBS “Spy Academy.” Our annual VBS is this week, from 9:00 am-12:00

noon. VBS is free for children going into K5-6th grade, and they are invited to join in the fun. Featured throughout the week are age appropriate competitive games, Bible lessons and memorization, daily chapels and an exciting, unfolding play that develops throughout the week culminating with a Closing Festival Night Fri. evening, 6:00 pm, for all children and their parents. A very special thank you is extended to all who have been a part of the preparations for the week and the staff who will lead the VBS week. You can still be a part of the support team for VBS by giving a special gift of money, bringing in wrapped candy and/or cookies, and praying for the VBS week. Pray that this will be used to help kids come to Christ and to grow in their Christian walk. Flyers are also available in the lobby to pass out to friends and neighbors inviting them to VBS. I will be preaching in the morning service as Pastor and Sheilah Smith are away for some needed rest and recuperation. The message I will be preaching is a message entitled, “Fixed and Focused Faith,” from Hebrews 12:1-4. All of us need to be encouraged, challenged and motivated with the principles for living by faith for the glory of God. We will find some practical steps of faith here that we need. Tonight, Pastor Jarrett will be preaching the message from Prov. 23. Also tonight, we will be hearing Amanda Fischer who has returned from her summer missionary internship with the Greenwoods in Argentina. Many have followed her ministry with their Facebook posts.
