NEWS AND NOTES

CHILDREN’S CHURCH Children’s Worship will not meet during the summer.

Nursery Needs: For those with small babies or toddlers, attended nursery is available. Ages birth to 24 months will be in the nursery at the end of the east hallway. Attendant are Erin & Shane Robinson. Two and three-year-old's will be in room 208. Attendants are Robyn & Der-rick Davies. India Team Returns: Grateful for the safe return of the India Mission Team last Friday. Let’s welcome home Jim Criswell, Jeff, Garret, and Gavin Gilliland and Gary Johnson.

School Begins Tomorrow: Let’s remember in prayer all of our stu-dent returning to the classrooms tomorrow. Prayers for strength and courage as they face the daily challenges ahead of them. Blessings for a happy and healthy new school year.

Will Rogers Elementary: If you are interested in helping and or volunteering to work with the Will Rogers School this year, a planning session will be held Wednesday, August 21 at 5:30 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. Questions? You may call Paula Lewis or Debbie Quirey.

Mission of Hope: Everyone is invited to join us Tuesday, August 20, 6:30 p.m. at Mission of Hope for a time of prayer and sing-ing followed by a short devotional.

Men’s Bible Study: The Tuesday morning Men’s Bible Study will resume September 3 @ 10:00 a.m. in the conference room. They will continue their study in II Corinthians.

Ladies Bible Class: The Tuesday morning Ladies Bible Class will resume September 10 @ 10:00 a.m. in rooms 201 & 202. The study for this Fall is II Corinthians. Child care is provided.

Prayer Request: Charlene Swaim was not able to transfer to the Stillwater Hospital last week. At this time she is still at Baptist Integris in OKC.

Continued Prayers For: The following people who continue to struggle with health concerns: Deanna Hannah recovering from total knee replacement surgery...Lisa Randolph is home, Sue Carty (Jan Os-burn’s sister is recovering from a liver transplant) Ambi Smith is facing multiple health challenges at this time at the OU Medical center (friend of the Meads), Cindy Pekrul (recurrence of cancer, Davalene Stubbs sister) Jeff Vasby (treatments at VA hospital), and Joy Long (cancer).

age will be served breakfast in their respec-

going away party and all the love and support the

past 23 years. This will always be our home in

many ways. We will be transitioning in the next couple of

weeks as I have been diagnosed with breast can-

cer, I would appreciate prayers. Again, we you all so much.
