Diabetes education speaker followed by The Sugar Film.

Let’s have a conversation about

the impact Diabetes can have on an individual’s mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Please join credited Diabetes Nurse Educator, Preethi De Silva from Link Health and Community. This session aims to help raise awareness on Diabetes and give you tips to help keep you on a healthy path.

It will be followed by a healthy snack and then the screening of The Sugar Film.

That Sugar Movement was born from the success of That Sugar Film, Australia’s highest earning cinema documentary which raised global awareness of the impact of hidden sugars on people’s health.

THAT SUGAR FILM is one man’s journey to discover the bitter truth about sugar. Damon Gameau embarks on a unique experiment to document the effects of a high sugar diet on a healthy body, consuming only foods that are commonly perceived as “healthy.”

Through this entertaining and informative journey, Damon highlights some of the issues that plague the sugar industry, and where sugar lurks on supermarket shelves.

That Sugar Film will forever change the way you think about ‘healthy’ food. Date: Friday 16 July Time: 10.30am-11am (Speaker)Film Screening: 11.30am (Film Length: 1 hour 42 mins)Venue: Clayton Community Centre Theatre, 9-15 Cooke StCost: FREEBookings: www.trybooking.com/BSQHO or 9518 3555
