16 Paynesville Area Community Education & Paynesville Area Center June 19 – JazzDotCombo - All Star Jazz Band JazzDotCombo is a select jazz ensemble from the St. Cloud area. A group of students formed the band in the summer of 2000 looking for a chance to do more performing. The group has had about 155 members from 25 area schools in the last 14 years. About 35 alumni have become music teachers or professional musicians. Many members have been in all state level jazz ensembles including three current members. The band plays a wide variety of music with about 50 songs in the current library. The band plays about 20 times a year ranging from small get togethers up to groups of over 10,000 people at Lake George. Members range in age from 12 to 18 and this year come from Cathedral, Tech, Sartell, Rocori, Albany, and Alexandria High Schools as well as a home schooled student and one from Katherine Drexel Elementary School. Concessions: Sloppy Joe Baskets & Root Beer Floats (Sold By: “Curios George” Relay For Life Group) June 26 - 45 RPM Minnesota’s Premiere Classic Music Band 45RPM brings a roster of music ranging from the 50’s through the 80’s. July 17– Andrew Walesch An emerging artist on the Minnesota music scene, Andrew Walesch maintains a very active performance schedule. Whether recording jingles, producing shows, composing and arranging, or singing as a solo artist and with big bands all over the Midwest, Andrew is known for his unique approach to The Great American Songbook. He ventures outside of jazz and the standards, however, and can be found anywhere from a classy cocktail lounge to a rugged piano bar taking requests from just about every genre. More recently Andrew has focused on songwriting and is working on a project of originals. Andrew has recorded two albums and has sung and played on the stage of The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, The Chicago Theater, The Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis and dozens of venues all over the Midwest. He also has appeared on the nationally syndicated broadcast Mountain Stage on National Public Radio. In May of 2010, he graduated with a music degree from St. John's
