But seek first the kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as
well. (Matthew 6: 33)
Through prayer God is always within your reach. Seek His presence so that you will know and
understand His ways. Meet your creator early. Put God first in your life. Build up your spiritual
strength through a close relationship with your Father. Start your day with instructions from God. “If
you seek me early and diligently you will find me.” (Proverbs 8: 17)
Thank and praise the Lord, for everything He created is good. Enjoy the wonders that you find in your
life and you will find proof of His goodness. Let God guide and direct your path. Ask for His wisdom
so that you may understand His purposes for your life.
God wants your complete dependence so He may strengthen you for your walk with Him. “You must
love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.” (l Deuteronomy 6: 5)
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways when
they carry out their wicked schemes.” (Psalm 37:7) Rest in the Lord. Be quiet in His presence. No
matter how much you discover about Him, there is always more to know. Put all things aside and be
refreshed and strengthened. Wait for Him to work His wonders. Then wait for Him to work His
wonders through you.
Let Christ live in your life and receive the joy of His gift of eternal life. Rely on Him. He will not
abandon you. His love never wavers or changes. He will lead you to the kingdom.

YOUTH NEWS
There is excitement in the air as our youth group gets ready for their mission trip
to Jacksonville on 6/22/14. They will be spending a week at the Team Effort
mission camp. Some of the youth have already signed up to do VBS and the others
will be involved in construction projects. Our group has expanded this year with a
total of 15 youth volunteers, 4 of them coming for the first time.
We are asking our church family to keep us in prayer for the entire week.
We are also asking for donations of snacks and drinks. If anyone has ever traveled
with 15 teenagers, you know how much they can consume, and after a day’s work
they are ravenous.
We have made a list for you of items we know we will need, but anything would be
appreciated. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Bottled Water Fruit Snacks
Sports Drink Breakfast or Protein Bars
Snack bags of chips Trail Mix
Candy Peanut Butter or Cheese Crackers
Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. Proverbs 22:6

Interfaith Charities of South Lee Estero/San Carlos Park United Way House
We would like to thank you for your generous donation during April 2014. As the need
in our community for basic items such as food and shelter continue to increase, people
like you make a great impact. Your contribution of 246.2 pounds of food is truly
appreciated.
Pantry volunteers needed ASAP. With our seasonal friends gone, we are in desperate
need of volunteers in the pantry. The food is coming faster than we can process and
get it out for our clients. If you can spare an extra 3 hours, we could use your help.
Any shift, 8-11 or 11-2 Monday-Friday, and/or Saturday 8-12. Please call Brenda at
267-3510.
I thank you on behalf of our clients, volunteers, board of directors and staff.

That was very kind and thoughtful to have John and my family on the prayer list. John was
extremely stressed out leading up to this test. I was very worried, exhausted and had so
much on my plate. The dreadful “Test Day” arrived…I truly believe that the prayers that
were said for us were heard and answered. Words cannot explain the amazing and powerful
strength that we experienced that day. Wednesday’s test, events, tasks and added chores
were flawless and peacefully effortless. We get the results next week.
I want to thank everyone for the wonderful gift of PRAYER!!!
Your friend, Kim Martin
