Lynne, Kate and Jan, also welcome back to our serving committee and sub committee members. Check the next page of our newsletter for the positions that our sub committee people have filled. We have one more lesson on the 3rd December and our last social will be our Christmas social with the energetic Johnny Gray on 10th De-cember at 7.30pm. Our dancing will resume on 21st January with a so-cial and Nicky Steel will be our entertainer. Nicky was well liked at our October social, so hopefully you again, will support her and the club. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my committee, sub com-mittee and all members who put their hands up to volunteer their time in helping out at the different functions. Thank you to all who support our raffles by buying tickets. I know it has been a busy year and I’m sure I’m not the only one looking forward to the Christmas break. I wish all our members a very safe Christmas and a happy New Year. DID YOU KNOW: * MEMBERS* - ENTRY TO OUR CHRISTMAS DANCE HELD ON 10TH DECEMBER WITH JOHNNY GRAY, IS FREEEEEEE. A Dog’s Life: Brothers and Sister, I bid you beware, Of giving your heart to a dog to tear. Keep on dancing

JUST ROCK IPSWICH NEWSLETTER 2018 4

Hello to everybody, I am your New VP Dance. I want to say a big thank you to Ian Smallwood for all he has done in the past years as VP Dance and I would also like to thank him for taking the time to show me the ropes. I will endeavour to do this role to the best of my ability, with hopefully a little help from all of you. J This being my first report I am a little rusty so I’ll make it short and sweet. Writing re-ports does not come easy so please bear with me and I hope in the coming months you will see an improvement with my reports. Well November is finished and Christmas is just around the corner. Not many dance nights in December to have fun and enjoy. So please come along for the time we have left before we break for the holidays. It’s a good opportunity to look and see what danc-es are around over the holiday season and go practise what you’ve learnt. I am sure you are all looking forward to the Christmas break and I want to wish every-one a very Happy Christmas and a Bright New Year to come. Enjoy being with family and friends. For those of you who may find you are alone this Christmas turn on the music and dance. Remember your friends are only a phone call away. Let me leave you with this “Never miss a chance to dance.” So while you are on holi-days –

Dance in the kitchen, Dance in the lounge, Dance when you’re singing or just fooling around. Dance when you’re happy, Dance when you’re sad, Dancing is a reason to always be glad. Dancing with Santa What a BLAST Love and God bless you all Janelle Beljon

IMPORTANT MESSAGE Club Runs Would all members with Classic Vehicles Registered through JRI please take note: that unless there is mention of authorised Club runs in the official Newsletter of the Car Club, any outside arranged runs are NOT SANCTIONED by the Club and there-fore all members taking part in any such runs are doing so at their own risk. You will not be covered by the Clubs Public Liability Insurance cover if anything unto-ward happens and it is highly likely that you will not be covered by your own insur-ance company. You are also putting your S.I.V.S rego at risk. If you are attending a run organised by another Incorporated Car Club you are able to do so if it is in their newsletter and an open invitation has been offered to all clubs. If you are in doubt about sanc-tioned club runs being cancelled or changed please ring Robert Profke or Mathew Bowmer (numbers above). If you have any suggestions for Club runs please con-tact VP Cars – Robert Profke.

NOVEMBER 2018 VP CAR CRUISE REPORT

The November observation run went very well with excellent attendance, (38 mem-bers and family for the run). We departed from Yamanto Shopping Centre Car Park at 8:15am in 2min intervals, and headed off for a nice country drive to the Lockyer Val-ley Cultural Centre for morning tea. We headed off again snaking our way back towards Ipswich, continuing to look for answers to our many questions on our way to lunch at Jets Leagues Club. Everybody had a keen eye and sense of humor which showed during answer time. Thanks to Luke and Narelle, Greg and Carol for organising another great observation run and to everybody who attended for another enjoyable day of fun and laughs.

The next cruise will be the JRI Christmas lights cruise on Friday the 7th of December 2018. We will meet at Green Street Booval (Swifts Bowls club) at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm departure. The night will end at the Stry-bos’s home, please bring a plate of food to share, BYO drinks and chairs. Sign on sheet will be at lesson nights or an event will be creat-ed on the JRI Facebook page where you can add your name. Hope everybody is enjoying life and looking forward to catching up with eve-rybody at dancing or the next car cruise. Robert Profke
