WASHING ADVICE
Prostar garments are made using high quality materials under strict quality control conditions. It should be noted that most fabrics discolour due to staining by substances such as mud and grass which may not be entirely removed by washing.
We recommend removing as much mud from the garment as possible before soaking/washing. Follow detergent manufacturers’ instructions particularly with powders/liquids designed for heavy stains. Avoid products containing chlorine bleach that may damage fabrics, trims and decoratives.
Soaking garments in water and detergent as soon as possible can reduce discolouration. Use at least an equal amount of water by volume to that of the garments being soaked/washed. Make sure all parts are fully immersed. Pale garments such as White, Yellow, Sky and Tangerine may require more attention and the use of prewash soakers will assist in the removal of stains.
Do not overfill the washing machine with garments since if the ratio of water to garments is too small, dirt can easily be re-deposited. This can stain all the garments grey. We do not recommend fabric conditioners on jerseys and shorts which may cause a build up of film on fibres. This can prevent the washing process from penetrating filaments and dislodging dirt. However, socks w ill benefit from fabric conditioners and softeners.
PROSTAR will not accept liability for discolouration or damage to garments which is attributable to staining caused by elements foreign to the materials used in manufacture.
CUSTOMISING YOUR GARMENT
Please check your order carefully before printing/embroidery as PROSTAR are unable to exchange goods after customisation.
PROSTAR will not accept responsibility for goods incorrectly supplied which are then printed or embroidered nor for goods incorrectly printed or embroidered by sources other than Star Sportswear Ltd.
Many PROSTAR garments are manufactured using high quality sublimation print processes. Trained operators should carry out any further process involving inks or heat.
PROSTAR is unable to offer advice on the application of decorative products other than those it supplies and will not accept liability for any damage and/or discolouration attributable to decorative products applied by others.
HEAT APPLIED LOGOS/BADGES
• Do not exceed contact temperature of 160°C and 20 seconds dwell time since fabrics may shrink and distort.
• Use a suitable clean, unused protective layer to prevent dyes re-printing accidentally on other areas • Always keep surfaces free from dirt
• Ensure zip components are not trapped between press surfaces
SCREENPRINTING
• Protect from heat any fabric that is already printed to prevent transfer of dyes between fabric surfaces
• During the process do not allow newly printed fabric areas to touch other parts of the garment
• Maximum curing ambient temperature 160°C
EMBROIDERING
• We recommend using a needle size 70 to avoid splitting fibres
Team managers know the positive effect of building a professional and co-ordinated image. Increase team confidence by enhancing your kit with personalized bags and training clothing. Ideal for cup finals, tournaments and tours. Bags are printed on one side, one colour only.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SETING UP YOUR ARTWORK
Your Artwork Supplied
As most of our customer’s designs require redrawing in vector format (a
file format that has no loss of resolution when increasing or decreasing size) before printing, the quality and type of artwork supplied initially can have great bearing on the accuracy of the reproduction and the speed of processing your order. If you send us your artwork on disk, please ensure that the work is saved in Corel Draw. Please ensure that all text is converted to paths/curves. This would aid us greatly in processing your order more efficiently.
Artwork Charges
Artwork must be supplied in the correct format. If any artwork is supplied in stationary format or another digital format other than mentioned above such as JPG, BMP, TIF etc an hourly artwork fee will be charged for turning the supplied artwork into a usable format for our process. For artwork supplied in Corel Draw we do not place an artwork charge on the work.
Order Checklist For Custom Printing
• Type of printing - Stretchprint or Directprint.
• Colour(s) of printing on garments, bags etc.
• Rainwear, bags and bibs can only be printed in one colour.
• There will be an artwork charge if the quality is not suitable for reproduction.
• Designs are enlarged or reduced to the maximum size permitted by E.C.B. regulations unless otherwise specified.
Stretchprint
Highly recommended for most garments and accessories. Unbeatable value and performance. Applied by PROSTAR and used successfully by International sports teams. Durable, permanent prints giving good quality matt finish.
Price £2 per print
Directprint
High definition finish for teamwear. Ideal for intricate sponsor designs and where Pantone shades need to be matched. Available in up to five colours. Developed for sportswear to withstand repeated washing. Due to the process required to manufacture Directprint, a minimum of 15 prints must be ordered. Spare prints will be stored and applied when required (max 2 years) Directprint orders can only be supplied in one size unless otherwise specified.
Price £2 per print, Embroidery, Quality embroidery available to give a superb classic finish to each garment.
