Food Waste Disposal Ban310 CMR 19.017
Effective October 1, 2014: commercial organic material will be banned materials.
Food and vegetative material from businesses & institutions that dispose of one ton or more of that material per week.

Food Waste in SchoolsElementary and Secondary Schools ◦ Students dispose an average of 0.5 lbs of food waste per
week.
◦ If you have 4,000 students enrolled:◦ 0.5lbs/student/week * 4,000 students = 2,000 lbs/week = 1 ton of food
waste/week
