Dear parents / caregivers,

Reporting to Parents

As this Semester draws to a close, it is that time where teachers have all been very busy completing Semester 1 Reports. Each child will receive their Report at the Reporting to Parent interviews scheduled for next Tuesday 28 June. Interview times will be sent home tomorrow in a note with your child. If you are unable to make the interview time, please contact the teacher to make a more convenient time. Phone interviews are an option and reports can be sent home with the child Tuesday morning when school finishes at 11.40am. If you are unable to meet with or talk to the teacher your child's Report will be sent home next Thursday. The Report will provide parents with information in regard to their child’s achievement in all eight learning areas, as well as their attitude, behaviour and effort, and personal and social learning. Children’s overall achievement for each learning area in Years PP – Year 2 is reported using a description of achievement ie. Excellent, High, Satisfactory, Limited and Very Low. In Years 3 - 6, children’s achievement is reported against a scale of A-E. These descriptors and grades are consistent for all students in public schools across the State.

Capital Works

As you will have seen, if you have been into school this week, some of our capital works that we have been planning have begun! We are looking at beautifying the area between A Block and Admin and also across the front of the Admin building. I know it is a little difficult to move around the front of the buildings at the moment, but please bear with us as we look at completing school improvement projects! I am sure you will be pleased with the final product as we continue to enhance our learning environment.

Winter Carnival

Congratulations to the soccer, hockey and netball teams that represented Bramfield Park at today's Winter Carnival with pride. Results will be posted in the next newsletter but I am sure all the hard work the students have been doing in training will have paid off. Thank you to Miss K Morgan, Ms Bailey, Mr Lake and Mr Jeffreys for assisting with coaching and supervising for the carnival. Thank you also to the P&C for their continued fundraising efforts which subsidises the cost of the bus fare for our athletes!

School Photos

A reminder that photos will be taken next Tuesday and Thursday (See photo schedule later in the newsletter). Please ensure your child comes to school in full school uniform with neat and tidy hair. If you would like to request and order sibling photos, please collect a sibling photo envelope from the office. Photos usually take 4-6 weeks to arrive so we would be looking at delivery for the middle of next term.

VIP Raffle Draw

Any volunteers/helpers that come into our school will receive a raffle ticket to go into a draw for a number of wonderful prizes that will be drawn next Friday 1 July. Raffle tickets are awarded for helping in the class, attending meetings (including Reporting to Parent Interviews next Tuesday) or assisting at events. The students and staff love seeing as many families as possible engaged in the wonderful learning opportunities provided at Bramfield Park. Don't forget to collect a raffle ticket through the office and thank you to the School Board for sourcing some wonderful prizes!

Disco

Finally I am looking forward to seeing everyone for a dance at this Friday night's Disco. Thank you to the P&C for all their organisation. I am sure, as always, it will be a great night!
