We’re so excited about the Big Easy Stage, we’re having a parade! The Big Easy Parade will wind through the Main Stage seating area and make its way–in serpentine fashion–to the Big Easy Stage on Post and First Streets to celebrate the inaugural concert. The parade will be led by the Bay Area band Bug Horn Rex and will feature dancers and community members playing along. We invite all of you to join us, though a wristband is necessary to reach the parade route.

Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton is a feature-length documentary about avant-garde Los Angeles-based record label Stones Throw Records. The film weaves together rare concert footage, never-before-seen archival material, inner-circle home video and photographs and in-depth interviews with the artists who put Stones Throw Records on the map.

Former Mercury News staffer Charlie McCollum is editor, and longtime festival photographers Andy Nozaka and Walter Wagner provide historic, rarely seen images. A World Class Stage We’ve found a new home for some of our biggest jazz artists and other high-profile projects—the gorgeous California Theatre, recently restored to its 1920s glory. KCSM Jazz 91.1 will stream live from this stage. This stage replaces the San Jose Rep stage.

Between sets on Saturday and Sunday, this three-man show will entertain you with their repartee and the best funk, soul, and R&B of the ‘60s and ‘70s.
