Kartell’s is a journey amid tradition and innovation: from the warm atmospheres of Puglia to the sophisticated elegance of Forte dei Marmi and Pietrasanta in Versilia, through to the seductive charm of Hotel La Posta Vecchia, on the coast of Lazio, ending up with the absolute magic of Venice.

The tour reveals the very soul of historic places and timeless landscapes, liaising them with the contemporary appeal of the pieces of furniture, in a constant exchange of beauty where both parties appear to tell one another their story.

At the heart of the project lie the latest new products by Kartell.

The encounter between the worlds of fashion and design has given rise to Catwalk, designed by Philippe Starck. The French designer explores this relationship from an unexpected perspective, giving rise to an interesting paradox: on the one hand the wealth and sophistication of haute couture, with its elegant clothing, and on the other the need for extreme humbleness and simplicity of

the seats devised for the catwalk, specifically to enhance the great beauty of the creations and of the surrounding fashion world. The seat is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Catwalk is available in white, pink, grey, sky blue, rust and black.

Venice pays homage to the namesake city. With Venice, Philippe Starck has interpreted the mood of the charming, aristocratic Venetian venues of the city of a thousand souls through a discrete style combined with extreme comfort. Made with a complex injection moulding technique that makes it possible to accommodate the silhouette of the elemental design yet concurrently guarantee stability, Venice is available in white, dove grey, grey, sage green, rust and black.

With the Cara armchair, Philippe Starck continues to explore the concept of “less is more”. As in major masterpieces, the result of extremely light weight, elegance and immediacy of communication stems from a lengthy process of research into materials and technologies, where the rigour of the classic silhouettes and the comfort of the seat meet and come together. The perfect combination of formalism and technological innovation, for an industrial art-house product that extends Kartell’s range of soft furnishings. The frame is available in ivory, pale green, rust and black, and it can be teamed with various solutions for the fabric cushion, with patterns and plain coloured variants that are ideally suited to the contract world.
