The Kasbah is a quite unique Moroccan themed bar and Bed and Breakfast establishment which is situated in an
excellent location being in the main shopping street of Ryde and also very close to the sea front, railway station
and ferry connections to and from the Island. The business has been trading for a number of years and is now
being sold because of family bereavement.
We understand that the bar has a very good regular and visiting clientele and it is extremely popular
throughout the year for its live music evenings and the many functions and festivities which are hosted by Ryde
which is one of our foremost seasonal towns.
We understand that the bar is predominantly a wet trade but there is scope to increase the business by offering
hot and cold food from the kitchen which is adjacent to the bar. On the first and second floors are a total of 9
guest en-suite bedrooms catering for a maximum of 21 guests on a B&B basis with breakfast being served
downstairs at a rear room off the main bar. The Bed and Breakfast accommodation proves very popular with
both visitors and in some cases some long stay guests who are working on the Island on temporary contracts.
The property is offered in the residue of a 20 year Lease from December 2006 (8 years remaining) and in our
opinion it would be ideally suited to tenant occupiers who wish to become heavily involved in running the
business and expanding the trade. Whilst there is no owner’s accommodation, it would be quite easy to use a
couple of the guest rooms for private accommodation.
