Last week students attended the cultural performance of ‘Ghana Beat My Drum’ at Katunga Primary school. We met Jonas who comes from Ghana and plays a variety of instruments, sings original African songs and teaches African dance. The students had a fantastic time listening to African music, watching and trying African dance, speaking African and listening to African stories.

Evan and Jonas playing a beat on the African drum.

Cadence and Wyleigh showing everyone their African dance to the beat of Jonas on the drumb.

Tilton giving the African dance a go.
