Stanlow provides jobs for around 1000 Shell people and a large number of contrac-tors on site on a regular basis. Their salaries provide a boost for the local economiesof the north west and help create further employment.

ELLESMERE Port Mult Sports group for

adults wth dsabltes has taken part n an

event to mark ts 10th annversary.The one hour long weekly sesson at the

EPiC Lesure Centre provdes a structured

sportng programme whch offers access to

a wde array of sports and tness related

actvtes.

Current sports nclude: Bocca, Curlng,

Football, Basketball, exercse to musc,

Dodgeball and Handball. The sessons

promote the benets of leadng an actve

lfestyle alongsde the hgh levels of socalbenet.

Around 30 to 35 members from resdental

homes, ndependent lvng and those of

ndvdual care programmes pay on the door

each week to take part n mult sports.

The weekly sessons am to ncrease

members physcal actvty and socal sklls

by allowng them to mx wth ther peers and

work n teams to acheve ther goals.

workng between Cheshre West and Chester

Councl and Cheshre and Wrral Partnershp

NHS Foundaton Trust.To mark the celebraton and achevement,

Cheshre West and Chester Councl held an

Olympc- themed event for all of the clubs

members.

The event saw partcpants take on a seres

of sportng challenges and races n order

to make t onto the podum. The members

entered n teams and took part n a ag

march to celebrate the success of the club.

They all receved medals for takng part wthspecal awards for player of the tournament.
