CLPOA Recreation Committee Presents

2012 Summer Concert Series

Friday (22 June)

7:30 PM to 10 PM

Sunday (8 July)4 PM to 7 PM Friday (17 August)7:30 PM to 10 PM

“The Dixieland Band”“Chaz Mechenbier”

This summer the CLPOA is sponsoring “free” beach concerts at the Arrowhead by the lake. So, please come and enjoy the music. Bring chairs, food, and drink. Share the fun with your neighbors.

Chaz is an accomplished guitarist and singer, and one of the most musical performers you'll ever hear. Chaz can make the guitar do things you may not have thought possible. Chaz plays a wide range of music including classic rock and country. Chaz played guitar on stages from New Jersey to Japan; he toured with many recording artists, including Jerry Reed, Ronnie Milsap, and the Judds. After arriving in Columbus, he joined the legendary Phil Dirt and the Dozers, playing bass for five years.

For over twenty-five years the Lower London Street Dixieland Band has been playing at the Red Brick Tavern. The band puts on a toe tapping show complete with many jokes and performances by each band member. They are famous for playing their music on a boat trolling around Choctaw Lake. The Lower Lond Street Band performs the old dixieland favorites in a very traditional San Francisco style of classic hot jazz.
