I hope you have been giving some thought to what you are going to make for the president’s challenge. I thought I would review the guidelines for the challenge. You must use some of the colors on the page you tore out of the magazine. You do not need to use all of the colors on the page and you can add other colors. What you make is totally up to you. It could be a bag, a quilt, a table runner or topper, or a wall hanging. Be creative and have fun. I will have magazines at the July meeting for those who were not here last month. “Tips, Tricks, and Techniques from the President.” Do you know how to wind a bobbin? There should be a hole on the side of your bobbin. Run your thread through the hole from the inside out. Put it on your machine and hold onto the thread as it winds. Finish filling the bobbin and voila! No slipping or tangles. You can take your quilting books to a copy/print shop and have them spiral bound. This allows the book to stay open and flat while you’re using it. Continue to stay Warm and Friendly! 2019 – 2020 PRESIDENT’S CHALLENGE Come to the Meeting to learn what it is. QUILT TO SHARE Quilts to Share Work Days are held each Monday of the month, except the third Monday from 9am to 3 pm. Stop in to work with others on QTS projects for all or part of the day. Sewing machines and all supplies are available. Nothing to prepare, no machine to drag around, just come. If you are unable to come on QTS work days and need kits, fabric to launder, or quilts to quilt on your own, just give me a call. Location: 4803 Cedar Heights DR.
