Wilfred Owen’s poem about the horrors of war is set in World War I.
The title ‘Dulce et Decorum est’ means it is sweet and right. The poet however mocks at this statement by describing the horrors of war and dislikes the propaganda that it is a great honour to fight and die for one’s country.
