A Personal Timeline of Educational Technology

OverviewMy name is Kelsi Kawamura.I started school in 1992 in the Honolulu

District.I graduated from high school in 2005 in

Hawaii.I first went to college at the University

of Hawaii at Manoa in 2005.When I finish my degree, I hope to

become a sixth grade mathematics teacher or work in educational research.

My definition of Educational Technology

…is the introduction, implementation, and establishment of technological resources and tools

that assist and improve the educational environment.

A Challenge for Teaching Technology is infinitely

expanding and with this comes the challenge of learning the necessary skills needed to implement and teach the new technologies. There may be issues such as resistance, basic understanding, and a simple problem of “too much of a good thing” (will we be able to live without it?).
