To Potential Sponsors,

Established in 1970, Kern County RFC is currently represented by a diverse group of about 50individuals that are committed to serving the greater Bakersfield area. Some are educators, localfire and law enforcement officials, real estate salesmen, family men and students. We participatein the annual toy collection drive for ‘at risk youth’ at the Kern County Probation Department andJamison Children’s Center, and collect clothing items for the Bakersfield Homeless Center.

As USA rugby gears up for the 2016 Olympics so will KCRFC. We are excited for this journey aswe aim to increase the presence of rugby in Kern County. KCRFC is creating a model for USexcellence in Rugby and with the right program we can turn some of Bakersfield’s many greatathletes into potential rugby Olympians. An increase of live television broadcasts of all USAgames during the 2012 Rugby World Cup earlier this year, collegiate 7s and 15s tournaments, and USA 7s tournaments have led to an increase of popularity for the sport.

The 2012 regular season featured a roller coaster of many highs and a few lows as your Tuskersput together their best performances since the 2004 Division III championship run. Our goal forthe 2013 season is to represent Kern County at the National tournaments for both 15s and rugby

the 2013 season is to represent Kern County at the National tournaments for both 15s and rugby7s.

Preparations have started for our new Youth Co-ed “Touch” as well as the revival of a HighSchool program. These efforts will no doubt ensure a solid foundation for rugby in Kern Countyand serve as roadmap for any youngster with aspirations of representing USA at the Olympicgames.

Kern County RFC is dedicated to representing the pride and sportsmanship of Kern County inthis rapidly growing sport. The Kern County RFC greatly appreciates any sponsorships and/ordonations, as we realize that without your help the future of this organization will not be possible.

Thank you.
