Mariah CareyMariah Carey is an American singer, record producer, and actress. In 1990, she rose to fame with the release of "Vision of Love" from her eponymous debut album. The album solidified the singer as Columbia's highest selling act.

Carey spent a record sixteen weeks at the Billboard Hot 100 in 1995–96 with "One Sweet Day," which remains the longest-running number-one song in US chart history. In 1998, she was honored as the world's best-selling recording artist of the 1990s at the World Music Awards and soon named the best-selling female artist of the millennium in 2000.

Throughout her career, Carey has sold more than 200 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Mariah Carey’s CareerIn June of 1990, Mariah made her debut with "Mariah Carey". Her 1990 self-titled debut album went multi-platinum and led to Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Vocalist. In 1995, she made music history. Her single "Fantasy" from her 1995 album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making her the first female artist to accomplish a number one debut in the U.S.

She made her singing debut at the age of 20 and she is the only female artist (to have 18 #1 songs on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Ariana GrandeAriana Grande is an American singer and actress. She began her career in the Broadway musical. Grande's music career began with the soundtrack Music from a TV show she starred in. She signed a recording contract with Republic Records and released her debut studio album in 2013, which debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200.

The album's lead single debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, with music critics comparing her wide vocal range to Mariah Carey's range.Grande's second studio album also debuted at No. 1.

In 2016, she released her third studio album. The title track debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Grande the first person in the history of that chart to have the lead single from each of her first three albums debut in the top 10

Ariana Grande’s CareerGrande’s debut album Yours Truly debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 albums chart on September 2013 . Grande released her second studio album My Everything. Its lead single debuted at No. 1 in the UK singles charts and made British chart history as the first song to debut at No. 1 based on sales and streams. The song was noted for being the highest debut ever for a collaboration of female soloists.

Grande's music is generally pop and R&B. Grande was called the "mini Mariah Carey" and the "new Mariah Carey" by some critics because of her wide vocal range, sound and musical material.

Grande has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, she received an award for Best Newcomer and received a Breakthrough Artist of the Year award on her debut year.
