This series of sculptures is made from moldings of originals belonging to museum collections. It is the face, invariably that of

Kimiko Yoshida, that turns them into self-portraits.

The following series of hand-blown Murano glass mirrors is irresistibly entitled Senza Immagine (’’without image’’ in Italian).

The mirror returns the light but reflects no image !

Far from wanting to create an optical illusion, these without image mirrors aim at deceiving the gaze by giving to see the want-to-be in the representation.

These sculptures are still self-portraits,but the image has gone: Senza Immagine.
