Karl Lagerfeld middle name should be collaboration -

he is at it again!

Following on from Karl Lagerfeld previous collaborations with

the likes of Chanel and Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld is set to

collaborate with one of our fave shoe designers, Melissa Shoes.

We are so excited that the main man in fashion himself will be

creating a capsule collection for Melissa Shoes and Lagerfeld

will be involved in everything from the design, development

and even the distribution of the Melissa shoes collection.

We are all slightly ahead of the game on this worst kept fashion

secret. The first glimpse of the Karl x Melissa Shoes will be in

In October, twenty four men

and women, who have all been

affected by breast cancer,

conquered the catwalk in front

of a star-studded audience at

Breast Cancer Care’s glittering London fashion show.

Celebrity guests supporting the

charity included Geri Halliwell,

Alexandra Burke and Edith

Bowman.

Kindred Sole were very proud

to support The Breast Cancer

Care Show at Grosvenor House,

London.

The models took to the catwalk to demonstrate that it is possible to look

good and feel great after a breast cancer diagnosis. The afternoon show

was hosted by Denise Lewis with guests treated to a performance from

singer Joe McElderry. The evening show was hosted by Edith

Bowman while Breast Cancer Care patron Geri Halliwell, popular

dance troupe Flawless and singer Jonathan Ansell closed the show.

Alexandra Burke says: “The Breast Cancer Care fashion show has left

me speechless. The men and women who conquered the catwalk and

proved there is life after a breast cancer diagnosis are so inspirational!

The generosity of the audience here tonight has also been incredible.”

The models were transformed into stunning catwalk stars by world

renowned fashion expert, Hilary Alexander, alongside choreographer,

Lesley Goring. Their hair was transformed by stylists from Sassoon

Salons with makeup expertly applied by long-term supporters Estée

Lauder.

Andrea Hull, 41, from London, was one of the Breast Cancer Care

models. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 and says: “How

often does a normal woman get the opportunity to strut her stuff on the

catwalk?! I have always had a secret desire to be a model but never felt

pretty or tall enough. Now, thanks to Breast Cancer Care I am fulfilling

one of my childhood dreams!”

This year Breast Cancer Care raised £345,000 at the London fashion

show. All the money raised from this year’s show will continue to help

Breast Cancer Care provide expert information and professional support

to the 50,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year.

- 2012 – WHAT A YEAR! -

The Powder Room: Keren Smith, like many women

in business is truly inspiring. Fed up with her run of the mill job Keren decided to take matters into her own hands and set up The Powder Room. Here is her story: Keren: “I got fed up of the routine of getting up in the morning at 6am, getting ready for work, dropping my 3 year old off and then the long commute to work for a job I hated. I’d found that since having my son that was all I did: Work, work, work and I felt like I wasn’t actually living I was just existing so...One day after ending up in the toilets at work crying because of how trapped I felt and how unhappy I was, I quit. Anyway, a year down the line and I couldn’t be happier. I love the work I do, I wake up and look forward to the day ahead. I’ve always been pretty creative and have had a strong interest in nails and beauty. So I got myself qualified and insured and The Powder Room was born. My favourite style of nails would have to be stiletto nails. They’re so elegant and classy providing that they are not too long. I pride myself on originality and most of my work is custom designs and everything is hand painted. Most of my clients will 'let me loose' on their nails as they’ve seen the work I’ve done and know whatever I come up with, they will love. I tend to just do freehand painting from what I think will reflect the clients personality and then see what I end up with. The Flowers design was inspired by my sister in laws wedding as she had beautiful delicate flowers. The second flower design was inspired by canal boats as I was running down the canals one day admiring the art on the boats and thought that nobody does that style anymore. Lastly the Christmas designs are something that is guaranteed to get you in the festive spirit. From the traditional to the quirky, these Christmas designs never fail to make me smile! KSE: Now, not only do we feel inspired by Keren’s determination and dedication to her passion we can’t get wait to get her to spruce our mails up!
