Doug Gilmour

Doug Gilmour is the current general manager of the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). During his National Hockey League career as a center, Gilmour played for 7 NHL clubs: the St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs, New Jersey Devils, Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens, serving as captain for Calgary, Toronto and Chicago. Gilmour won a Stanley Cup with the Flames in 1989, and the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the NHL’s best defensive forward while with the Maple Leafs in 1993. He has been dubbed “Killer” for his physical play despite his small stature. In 2011, Gilmour was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Bryan Paterson

In 2014, Bryan was elected as the 96th Mayor of the City of Kingston. As a City Councillor, Bryan used his background as an economist to push forward a progressive agenda centered on economic development, quality of life initiatives and the facilitation of more affordable housing in Kingston.

Over the last four years, Bryan served as the Chair of the City’s Planning Committee and was the Vice Chair of the Mayor’s Task Force on Development, an initiative aimed at streamlining the development approvals process in Kingston. Bryan also served on the Kingston Economic Development Corporation (KEDCO) board, actively participating in the development of a new strategic plan to attract new business to the city.

Bryan has also been an active member of the Downtown Kingston Business Improvement Association board working to ensure Kingston’s downtown remains healthy and strong.

Krystyn Tully

Krystyn Tully is Vice President and co-founder of Lake Ontario Waterkeeper and co-creator of the web’s most popular beach information service, Swim Guide. Tully has a BA in Public Administration and Governance, minor in Nonprofit Organizations and a BAA in Radio and Television Arts, both from Ryerson University. She has spoken on nonprofits, technology, and community engagement for a range of audiences, including federal, provincial, state, and municipal water agencies. Growing up in Oshawa, Ontario, Krystyn witnessed first-hand how communities disconnected from their waterfronts struggle, both culturally and economically. She developed a special passion for local water issues while working as a researcher during the Walkerton Inquiry. She now has more than 17 years experience working to keep waters swimmable, drinkable, and fishable so that communities can prosper.

Jim Keech

Jim Keech is the President & Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Utilities Kingston and Kingston Hydro Corporation since 2000.

Jim has over 30 years of experience in a multi-utility environment, including electric distribution, natural gas distribution, water/wastewater and fibre-optics sectors. He is currently responsible for the management of Utilities Kingston and Kingston Hydro Corporation. He also manages the City of Kingston’s Public Works department and participates as a member of the City of Kingston’s Corporate Management Team.

Jim serves on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Municipal Water Association (OMWA) and Plug’n Drive. Up until March 2015, he also served on the Board of Directors for the Electricity Distributors Association (EDA) of Ontario and the Municipal Electric Association Reciprocal Insurance Exchange (MEARIE). In 2014, Jim received the ICD.D designation with The Institute of Corporate Directors.
