Cylindrical fire damper PPZCEN is defined as a closure of air duct preventing passage of the fire, temperature and smoke in theplace where duct penetrate through the fire separating construction. The fire damper consists of a rectangular housing, a damper blade and an actuating mechanism. The damper housing is made ofa galvanized steel sheet with a thickness of 1,25 mm and lenght of 400 mm. Outer diameter of the casing is Ø = Øn- 2 mm. Damperblade is made of high temperature-resistant, abrasion-resistant mineral material. The blade is held by axis made of stainless steel.Casing and damper blade are airtight and smoketight. The actuating mechanism of the damper is performed by a automatic thermalrelease mechanism (fusible link), electric actuator or solenoid actuator.
• Tested according to EN 1366-2 at 300 Pa• Fire classified according to EN 13501-3• Suitable for mounting in rigid wall, flexible wall and ceiling• Operating mechanism completely outside the wall - easy installation• Maintenance free• Use as smoke damper both in absence of fire (cold smoke) and in the presence of fire (hot smoke)

OPERATING MANUAL
Fire damper type PPZCEN-M
Damper is delivered in closed position. When electric actuator is connected to the power supply damper will open. When the damperreaches the end position (damper open), in which is it blocked, the electromotor will stop. Closing fire damper takes place automati-cally when a power failure occurs. Thermal tripping device that comes with fire damper causes power circuit break at a temperatureof 72 °C (inside or outside duct). If checking is needed for proper fuctioning of fire damper pushing the switch on the thermal trippingdevice will close damper. When switch on tripping device is released the damper will open.
Damper can be opened without connecting to a voltage with enclosed handle turning in the direction of the arrow on electric acuator(clockwise). Damper can be locked in the desired position by fast turning back handle a quarter of a turn (counterclockwise). To unlock the electromotor, turn handle clockwise for a quarter of a turn. If the handle is released, damper will be closed by returnspring. When damper is opened manually, electric actuator will not move the damper into closed position after power failure (ther-moelectric fuse).

RIGID WALL INSTALLATION

Permissible installation positions
Wall opening1
When installing damper in wall use wooden pillar on larger dimensions (Øn> 355) to prevent the deflection of the housing because of pressure created due to the drying of concrete.

The obligations of the installer The certification of the fire dampers is closely linked to the way the dampers are installed. The installer is held to scrupulously observe the installation procedures supplied by the manu-facturer that reflect the installations made during the fire tests and they must highlight this in the declaration of correct product installation.

CONNECTING FIRE DAMPER TO DUCT
Flexible connection
Connecting fire damper to duct with flexible connection to prevent transmition of power to the damper because of dilatation ventila-tion duct due to heating. Fire damper followed by an flexible connection is installed: • installation in flexible wall (both side) • installation in fire resistant wall (bothside) • installation direct on rigid wall (one side) • installation direct in front of rigid wall (one side)Flexible connection must meet following requirements: • minimum lenght 100mm • fire resistant material according to DIN 4102 class B2
If on one end of the damper comes safety grid, damper connects to the duct with a single flexible connection.
