Know ye that the AncientLiturgy of Truth hath been in thecare of our sect for 3000 years.Never, through the passing of eachgeneration, hath our sacredcustodianship been betrayed. Wenow enjoin thee, guard well thesecrets held within these pages.For thee, they shall be animmeasurable blessing, but if theyare revealed to one of theunenlightened, great harm couldbefall him. The proper use of thesupplications contained withinthis manuscript will be thine aid incombating the evils of this world. The supplications herein arelisted in ascending order of power.Most of them will be unusableuntil thou hast trod many paths and

gained great wisdom. If thoudevotes thy whole being to theseTruths, the power to performactual miracles will be grantedthee. As thou art exalted enough tobe close to the One, the power evenover life and death may be thine.Take heed that thou dost not usethese precious gifts in a frivolousmanner, but for the betterment ofthe order. Receive now my blessingthrough the dark veil of time.Know always that within thyselfTruth was discovered, and thatthis Truth forms the basis ofunyielding power. The Prophet Alizarkanon

A. PONTORI Evil takes many formsthroughout Sosaria, and some ofthe most evil are the Undead.Skeletons, ghouls, and zombiesroam free in dungeons, forestsand open terrain. Although theyare formidable opponents in battle,there is a basic weakness in theiressence. These servants of evilare vestiges of former livingbeings now inhabited by an evilforce. If thou should encounterundead creatures, raise thy ankhof Truth before them. If thou doststand strong in the spirit of Good,evil shall be dispelled from theirbeings and only their rottingcorpses shall remain.

B. APPAR UNEM

Often the chest which thoushalt find along thy journeys willcontain a trap, the intent of whichis to damage thee and thy party.Since thou dost have the innateability to know the true nature ofevil, thou can overcome thisdifficulty. To open a chest with no riskof injury to thyself or thy party,pour a few drops of holy water intothe lock and invoke the aid of theOne who is all Truth by raising theholy ankh over the chest. It willopen freely and allow thee to graspits inner treasures.

C. SANCTU

Thy powers for healing will beoften needed. The healing of minorwounds can be accomplished withthis simple supplication. Throughthe channel which thy selflessdevotion creates in thee, Truth andforces of Good can act directly inthis world. Merely lay thy hands upon theone who is to be healed, and hiswounds will be mended beneath thytouch. In the beginning thineability will be limited, but withthine other powers, thy capacity toact as a healer will grow and bestrengthened by experience.

D. LUMINAE

The powers of thineenlightenment shall graduallyunfold before thee. Resting at thyhand is the ability to enchantobjects in a manner which willmake them glow. Whilst holdingthy staff aloft, repeat the name ofthis enchantment. Doing so, thepower of the Truths within theewill cause thy staff to glow with asoft blue light. Realize, however, that thislight will not be long sustained.For the power brought throughthee unto thy staff will slowlyradiate away and soon will dimand fade.

E. REC SU

Part of thine enlightenment isthe realization that there are noboundaries. When this truth isknown unto thee, the materialworld is far less limiting thanordinarily supposed. As thou descendeth deeper anddeeper into the bowels of theearth, thou shall likewise bedescending into greater evil.Being thyself of a good nature,this tends to give thee a naturalbuoyancy, as if in water. Speakthe name of this supplicationwhilst touching thy staff to theceiling of a dungeon passage. Thiswill cause the ceiling to becometranslucent; thee and thy partywill freely float to the next higherdungeon level.

F. REC DU

The range of thine ability forspiritual movement is not limitedto ascension. Far below theearth's surface, and far below thedeepest recesses of the deepestdungeon, flow the molten streamsand rivers which feed the earth'score. Here also resides The GreatEvil. Due to thy natural buoyancy,downward travel is somewhatmore difficult and less desirablethan upward. If thou mustdescend into evil, speak the name ofthis supplication whilst tappingthy staff upon the floor. The floorwill become translucent; thee andthy party will slowly sink to thenext lower dungeon level.

G. LIB REC

This is the most difficult ofthe spiritual movements. Theplanar motion allowed here mustbegin within a dungeon chamber. Lib Rec differs from the twoprevious supplications in thefollowing way: Instead of theearth allowing thy physical form topass, now thy form itself shallbecome translucent. As thou dostfade in one location thou shaltslowly appear in another. To initiate this motion, speakthe name of this invocation whilstcircling thy staff above thy head.As thou stoppeth the spinningstaff so wilt thy journey stop.

H. ALCORT

Alcort is a specialized formof healing. Poison is a horror allbeings fear for with it comesalmost certain death. Only withthe assistance of the divine powercan thou halt the ravages of thisgreat evil. With thy touch, the poisoncoursing in the veins of thycompanion shall be transformedinto a life-giving fluid whichsoothes the body and brings peaceunto the soul.

Thou can rest confident thatthou hast delivered one from thegrasp of poison. This power hasbeen promised by the One whosecovenant has never been broken.

I. SEQUITU

Occasionally during journeysunto the lower depths of thesubterranean, thy party may runinto great trouble. This could bethe death or near death of a partymember, starvation besieging thyentire party, or becoming lost withlittle hope of finding thy way. This supplication is thebeseechment of the greater Truth toaid the weary traveler in escapinghis rocky tomb. If thou raiseththy holy ankh into the air andcryeth out the name of thisinvocation, thee and thycompanions shall rise forth fromthe depths, guided by the divineTruth unto the Sosarian surface.

J. SOMINAE

Thine enlightment hathexpanded and will continue tounfold like the star-filled heavensabove. The first light which thyTruth created for thee waswondrous indeed, and luminanceof this sort will continue to be ofgreat service to thee. Yet in orderto fulfill some greater needs, moreenduring illumination is required. If thou dost now meditate onthis enchantment, thine entire selfwill radiate with the light ofTruth. Know that even this lightcannot be sustained indefinitely,for it doth draw from thine owninner force.

K. SANCTU MANI The grasses have grown andseeded many times since thyjourney began. Thou hast trodmany paths and gained muchwisdom. Thou hast now thepower to perform actualmiracles. To take one who hasbeen shredded by an opponent'ssword, quivering on thethreshold of death, and restorehim to life; this miracle is nowthine. Prepare a small tin of finescented oil and ask that it beblessed with the perfection andholiness of Truth. Annoint thewounds with the oil, allowing it topenetrate deeply. Before thineeyes the flesh will draw togetherand be restored, and the blood willonce again begin to flow throughhis veins.

L. VIEDA

If thou should lose thy way,either in the gloomy crevices of adungeon, or in a dark forbiddingforest, the miracle of Vieda canlight thy way. Meditate on thyneed for guidance for a goodlytime, and when thou dost feelsufficiently purified, rub a smallquantity of Holy water onto thineeyelids. If thou hast meditatedsufficiently, the greater Truthsshall miraculously unfold beforethine eyes. Whether thou art in adungeon or on the surface, a visionof thy current surroundings willcome to thee.

M. EXCUUN

Occasionally thee and thycompanions will be set upon bycreatures of great might and evil.Opposing these foes can be adifficult task at best. Theliturgy of Truth provides also forthis need. Should thy party encounter anevil foe of great strength thou maywish to call upon the miracle ofExcuun. By holding the holyankh of Truth in the direction ofthy foe and speaking the name ofthis great miracle, thou candirect the pure light of the holyforce of Truth at thy foe, and thelife within one of thy foes shallcease.

N. SURMANDUM

Thine enlightment hath ledthee to step beyond almost everylimitation of this earth. It isnow within thy power to step intothe realm of death and draw onewho has been there engulfed backinto the world of life. Release thy spirit and allowit to venture into the very shadowof death, touching the spirit ofthe one who slumbers there. Leadthy poor companion back from theshadow of death and life will onceagain be his. If, however, thycompanion's strength of will is notstrong enough to make the returnjourney, the backlash from thisfailed miracle will turn his bodyto ashes.

O. ZXKUQYB

The letters which head thispage represent the seven words ofanti-creation. They are the wordswhich release the fury of Truthupon the world. No entire word isever written, for should even theletters which represent theirsounds be brought together on apage, the release of power wouldcause destruction of untoldmagnitude. If thou should encounter asituation so evil as to requiretheir use, speak them softly onlyto the air beside thee. Most ofthy foes will be struck down with aforce so strong it will end thislife, and all other potential liveswithin them.

P. ANJU SERMANI

Once a body hath turned toash, the soul which once inhabitedit is sent on to its next life. Ittherefore takes a miracle ofenormous magnitude to reclaim it. Realize first that the spiritmust leave another body andanother life in order to return tothee. If thou perceives that theneed for the return of thycompanion is so great as to bewilling to give five marks of thywisdom in sacrifice, then beseechthe One who is Truth andWisdom. Allow a tear from eachof thine eyes to fall upon theashes. As thy tears mix with theashes, so shall they reconstitutebefore thee, and life shall berestored.
