Konica Minolta C450/C351/C250 with Empron Controller

BEFORE COMMENCING SETUP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ABOVE MACHINES, PLEASE CHECK THE VERSION OF SOFTWARE THE MACHINE

IS RUNNING. YOU CAN DO THIS AT THE MACHINE BY PRESSING ON THE UTILITY/COUNTER BUTTON.

IF ON THE TOUCH SCREEN YOU HAVE AN OPTION FOR BANNER PRINTING, PLEASE REFER TO PAGES 21 & 22

SCAN TO HDD To set your Konica Minolta C450 up for scan to HDD, please follow the instructions below:

1) Using Internet Explorer, type the IP address of the machine into the address bar and press Go

2) Click on User Box at the top of the screen 3) Click on Create User Box

4) Enter in your User Box details as above 5) Click Apply. The screen will then change and display “Completed”. Click OK

CREATING A ONE TOUCH BUTTON 1) Click on SCAN at the top of the screen 2) Click on New Registration 3) Choose the type of button you wish to create. I.E. User Box 4) Click Next 5) Fill out the details for your box. The Name is the name of the button that will appear on the machine. The User Box Name must relate to the User Box you created previously

SCAN TO E-MAIL

1) Using Internet Explorer, type the IP address of the machine into the address bar and press Go

2) Login to the Admin Mode by typing in the admin code of 12345678 3) Click on the orange Network tab 4) Click on E-mail down the left hand side of the page 5) Click on E-mail transmission. 6) Enter in the SMTP Server Address, Administrator Mail Address and Device

Mail Address. If Administrator and Device Mail address are left blank the machine will not scan to e-mail. Neither of these addresses need be actual e-mail addresses on the server. I.E [email protected]

7) Click Apply 8) Logout of Admin Mode

Binary Division must be DISBALED if the machine starts sending multiple pages when scanning even a one page document. This happens especially

when scanning A3 You can also increase the Divided Mail Size to 15000Kbyte if the machine

SETTING UP PAGESCOPE CABINET

1) First of all you need to have Pagescope Cabinet V1.6.1.0 installed on the PC you want to scan to.

2) You need to have a folder on the computer in which you wish the scans to be placed. Hereafter refereed to as “PC Root Folder”

3) To configure Pagescope Cabinet, please follow the instructions below: 4) Open up Pagescope Cabinet 5) Click on Tools and then Setup

6) Click on the FTP tab at the top and enter in a User Name, Password and FTP Root Folder. The FTP Root folder is the folder that you have setup on the computer into which the scans are going to be placed (“PC Root Folder”).

SCAN TO FTP

1) Using Internet Explorer, type the IP address of the machine into the address bar and press Go

2) Click on the SCAN tab at the top 3) Click on New Registration and Choose FTP. 4) Click Next 5) The Name is as you want the button to appear on the machine 6) The Host Address is the IP address of the PC with Pagescope Cabinet

installed 7) If in Pagescope Cabinet you have set the FTP Root Folder to the actual

folder on the PC where you wish the scans to be placed (“PC Root Folder”), the File Path on the machine only needs to have a / (forward slash) typed into the box. The / means “root folder”. If however you wants the scans to be placed in a folder which is inside the “PC Root Folder”, lets say called Hotline you would need to put /Hotline

SCAN TO SMB 1) Create a shared folder on the C Drive. For the purpose of this manual, I have created a folder called ‘smb’ with the share name of ‘smb’.

On Windows XP, there are two different types of sharing. The first type of sharing is called ‘Simple File Sharing’. By clicking Tools\Folder Options\View you can turn this option on by putting a tick in the box, clicking Apply and then OK.

If you are using Simple File Sharing, you must make sure ‘Share this folder on the network’ and ‘Allow Network Users to Change my Files’ boxes are ticked.

The alternative is to set permissions. For whatever permissions you set you need to make sure the folder is shared with Full Control ticked under the Permissions button. 2) Using Internet Explorer, type the IP address of the machine into the address bar and press Go 3) Click on the SCAN tab at the top 4) Click on New Registration and choose SMB 5) Enter in the Name of the button to appear on the machine and select the Index in which it is to appear under. 6) Type in the IP Address of the computer as the ‘Host Address’. You can also use the Computer Name found under the Properties of My Computer by putting a tick in the box ‘Please check to enter host name’. This must be typed in using upper case.

7) Type in the SHARE NAME of the folder you created in step 1

8) Type in the User Name and Password the customer uses when they log into their computer first thing in the morning. If this does not work, a new user must be set up on the PC just for SMB scanning. 9) Click Apply and OK

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SET UP FOR THE INTERNAL CONTROLLER APPLIES TO THE IC402 AS WELL

Konica Minolta C450/C351 with the IC-402 SCAN TO HDD

1) Using Internet Explorer, type the IP address of the machine into the address bar and press Go

2) Click on Login (Fiery) and type in the Administrator password for the Fiery which is Fiery.1

3) Click on the User Box tab at the top of the screen and click Create

4) Type in the Mailbox Name and password you require for your box. This is the information you will need to type into either Web Scan or Fiery Remote Scan 5 to retrieve the scanned images. Click Apply

5) Logout of the Fiery Screen

CREATING A ONE TOUCH BUTTON

1) Click on SCAN at the top of the screen 2) Click on New Registration 3) Choose the type of button you wish to create. I.E. User Box (Scan)/(Store Scanner) 4) Click Next 5) Enter in the Name of the button you wish to appear on the machine and

the Index which it should appear under. The User Box Name is the name you created in the Fiery screen.

6) Click Apply

5) Click on Network Setup

6) Click on Service 3 at the top of the page and enter in the details of the customers e-mail server.

***PLEASE NOTE***

In order for ANY Fiery print controller to scan to e-mail, an e-mail account needs to be set up on the e-mail server as if the machine were a new employee. These

details must then be input into the Fiery as above.

7) Click Save and then reboot the Fiery. 8) You then need to create a one touch button from the main page of the machines web interface as follows: CREATING A ONE TOUCH BUTTON

SCAN TO E-MAIL – SETUP VIA THE MACHINE To set your Konica Minolta C450/C351 up for scan to e-mail, please follow the instructions below:

1. Create an e-mail account on your e-mail server for the C450, giving it an e-mail address, account name and password.

2. At the machine, press the UTILITY/COUNTER button 3. Press CONTROLLER DETAILS on the touch screen 4. Press the MENU button 5. Scroll down until you see RUN SETUP and press the button to the right of

this 6. The machine will display “Continue to Setup? YES”. Press the button

next to OK The machine will now enter setup mode and during this time it may flick back to the Utility screen. Press CONTROLLER DETAILS when you can and eventually a menu will appear. 7. Press the button next to NETWORK SETUP 8. Press the button next to SERVICE SETUP 9. Scroll down to E-MAIL SETUP and press the button to the right of this 10. Press the down arrow to select Yes to “Enable E-mail Services”. Press OK 11. Select either Yes or No to “Enable Print via E-mail” depending on your

requirements. Press OK 12. Select No to “Remote Diagnostics” Press OK 13. Next you will be asked to input the OUTGOING SERVER IP address of your

e-mail server. By default the screen displays 000.000.000.000. You will need to press the “DEL” button on the screen to delete these zeros so that you may input the correct IP address using the blue number keys. You need to use the touch screen to enter the full stop.

14. Press the ENTER button 15. Carry out the same procedure as above to enter the INCOMING SERVER IP

address of your e-mail server 16. Select Yes to “POP3” 17. When the machine asks for the “Fiery E-mail User Name”, delete the pre

set address and input only the first half of the e-mail address before the @ symbol. You do not need to input the @ symbol. Press ENTER

18. The machine will then ask for the domain of the e-mail address. Again delete the pre set address of “your domain.com” and enter the part of the e-mail address after the @ symbol. You do not need to input the @ symbol. Press ENTER

19. Enter the Account Name for the Fiery 20. Enter the password and press ENTER 21. Carry out the same procedure as above for the “Administrator E-mail

Address”. The Administrator e-mail address for instance could be that of the person who looks after the machine.

23. Press OK to “Timeout” 24. Press ENTER to Polling Interval 25. The “Max Scan File Size” can be increased by using the up arrow to a

maximum of 15000kb (15Mb). Check the maximum file size that your e-mail server is set to send/receive and then set the Fiery accordingly. Press OK

26. Press the button to the right of “Exit Service Setup” 27. Press the button to the right of “Exit Network Setup”. After pressing this

button the machine will ask if you would like to save the changes. Press the button next to OK.

28. Press the button to the right of “Exit Setup” 29. The machine will now reboot. 30. After the machine has rebooted, print a “Configuration Page” from the

machine to make sure that the new settings have been saved. To print a Configuration Page: 1. Press the UTILITY Button 2. Press CONTROLLER DETAIL on the touch screen 3. Press MENU on the touch screen 4. Press the button to the right of PRINT PAGES 5. Press the button to the right of CONFIGURATION

4) Click Next 5) Type in your User Box Number, Name and Password. 6) Click Apply 7) A message saying ‘Completed’ will be displayed. Click OK. User Box 4) Click Next 5) Fill out the details for your box. The Name is the name of the button that will appear on the machine. The User Box No. must relate to the User Box you created previously. The Index is the index the button will appear under on the machine.

You will need to confirm you want to logout. 3) Login to the Admin Mode by typing in the admin code of 12345678 3) Click on the orange Network tab 4) Click on E-mail Setting down the left hand side of the page 5) Click on E-mail TX (SMTP) 6) Turn E-mail TX Setting to ‘ON’ Enter in the SMTP Server Address, Administrator Mail Address and Device Mail Address. If the Administrator and Device Mail addresses are left blank the machine will not scan to e-mail. Neither of these addresses needs be actual e-mail addresses on the server. I.E [email protected]

7) Binary division by default is turned off. If enabled, the machine will send separate scanned images. For example, if you scan in a 10 page document, you may end up receiving 10 separate e-mails. 8) Click Apply and then OK 9) Log out of Administrator mode and confirm that you want to log out

I.E. E-mail 5) Click Next 6) Enter in the Name of the button you wish to appear on the machine, the Index in which it is to appear under, and the E-mail Address you require your e-mails sending to. 7) Click Apply and it should display the following screen. Click OK

SCAN TO FTP 1) Using Internet Explorer, type the IP address of the machine into the address bar and press Go 2) Click on the SCAN tab at the top 3) Click on New Registration and Choose FTP. 4) Click Next 5) The Name is the name of the button you want to appear on the machine 6) The Host Address is the IP address of the PC with Pagescope Cabinet installed 7) If in Pagescope Cabinet you have set the FTP Root Folder to the actual folder on the PC where you wish the scans to be placed (“PC Root Folder”), the File Path on the machine only needs to have a / (forward slash) typed into the box. The / means “root folder”. If however you want the scans to be placed in a folder which is inside the “PC Root Folder”, lets say called Hotline you would need to put /Hotline 8) The user ID and Password are the same as those which you have set up in PageScope Cabinet. 9) Click Apply and OK.

SCAN TO E-MAIL – VIA THE MACHINE

1) Create an e-mail account on your e-mail server for the C350, giving it an e-mail address, account name and password.

2) At the machine, press the UTILITY button 3) Press CONTROLLER DETAIL on the touch screen 4) Press the MENU button 5) Scroll down until you see RUN SETUP and press the button to the right of this 6) The machine will display “Continue to Setup? YES”. Press the button next t OK The machine will now enter setup mode and during this time it may flick back to the Utility screen. Press CONTROLLER DETAIL when you can and eventually a menu will appear. 7) Press the button next to NETWORK SETUP 8) Press the button next to SERVICE SETUP 9) Scroll down to E-MAIL SETUP and press the button to the right of this 10) Press the down arrow to select Yes to “Enable E-mail Services”. Press OK 11)Select either Yes or No to “Enable Print via E-mail” depending on your requirements. Press OK 12) Select No to “Remote Diagnostics” Press OK 13) Next you will be asked to input the OUTGOING SERVER IP address of your e-mail server. By default the screen displays 000.000.000.000. You will need to press the “DEL” button on the screen to delete these zeros so that you may input the correct IP address using the blue number keys. You need to use the touch screen to enter the full stop. 14) Press the ENTER button 15) Carry out the same procedure as above to enter the INCOMING SERVER IP address of your e-mail server 16) Select Yes to “POP3” 17) When the machine asks for the “Fiery E-mail User Name”, delete the pre set address and input only the first half of the e-mail address before the @ symbol. You do not need to input the @ symbol. Press ENTER 18) The machine will then ask for the domain of the e-mail address. Again delete the pre set address of “your domain.com” and enter the part of the e-mail address after the @ symbol. You do not need to input the @ symbol. Press ENTER 19) Enter the Account Name for the Fiery 20) Enter the password and press ENTER 21) Carry out the same procedure as above for the “Administrator E-mail Address”. The Administrator e-mail address for instance could be that of the person who looks after the machine. 22) Enter the “Account Name” of the Fiery 23) Press OK to “Timeout” 24) Press ENTER to Polling Interval

25) The “Max Scan File Size” can be increased by using the up arrow to a maximum of 15000kb (15Mb). Check the maximum file size that your e-mail server is set to send/receive and then set the Fiery accordingly. Press OK 26) Press the button to the right of “Exit Service Setup” 27) Press the button to the right of “Exit Network Setup”. After pressing this button the machine will ask if you would like to save the changes. Press the button next to OK. 28) Press the button to the right of “Exit Setup” 29) The machine will now reboot. 30) After the machine has rebooted, print a “Configuration Page” from the machine to make sure that the new settings have been saved. To print a Configuration Page: 1) Press the UTILITY Button 2) Press CONTROLLER DETAIL on the touch screen 3) Press MENU on the touch screen 4) Press the button to the right of PRINT PAGES 5) Press the button to the right of CONFIGURATION CREATING A ONE TOUCH BUTTON 1. At your PC, open up Internet Explorer and in the Address Bar, input the IP

address of the C350. This can be found on the Configuration Page. 2. Click on the “Scan” tab 3. Select Index 1 and rename the Sub Index to “E-mail” and press APPLY 4. Click on the first set of three dashes 5. Choose “Scan to E-mail” and click NEXT 6. The “Destination Name” is the name of the button that you would like to

appear on the machine. This is usually the person’s name that you are setting the button up for.

7. Input the person’s e-mail address in the “Address (To):” box and click on CREATE.

Now at the machine when you go into the Scan screen, you will see an Index labelled “E-mail” under the Address tab and your newly created button will be there.

Bizhub 200/250/350 SCAN TO HDD – IP SCANNER

Using Windows XP Service Pack 2 With Windows XP SP2, transmission performed by Image Receiver may be

affected by the enhanced security features (Windows firewall is activated as a standard setting).

In order to use Image Receiver, click [Unblock] in the Windows Security Alert message. All transmissions performed by Image Receiver are set to pass

through the Windows firewall, and all Image Receiver functions can be used as usual.

1) This is the first screen you will see when you open IP Scanner from the Programs menu.

SCAN TO SMB 1) Create a shared folder on the C drive. For the purpose of this manual, I have created a folder called ‘smb’ with the share name of ‘smb’. In Windows XP, you must make sure ‘Share this folder on the network’ and ‘Allow Network Users to Change my Files’ boxes are ticked. SCAN TO FTP

1) Follow instructions for bullet points 1-6 as on page 65. All fields in bullet point 5 must be entered. They do not have to be the real settings but something needs to be entered into all of those fields. 2) After inputting the settings as above, click on the Scan tab at the top of the screen 3) Click on the first available number in the File Destination List 4) Enter the Destination Name, the IP address of the FTP Server in the FTP Server Address and the directory. (See Page 8, bullet point 7 for further details).

BOX OPERATOR Please note that there are different versions of the Box Operator, which are specific to each firmware version loaded on to a machine. Please make sure you have the correct version installed. Box Operator v 1.0.0.9 needs to be installed when using the C250/C351/C450/C300/C352 & 600 Phase 1.8 firmware Phase 2.5 onward machines require version 2.0.9.0. YOU CANNOT USE VERSION 1.0.0.9 BOX OPERATOR ON A PHASE 2.52 MACHINE. IT WILL NOT CONNECT. V1.0.0.9 In order to connect using the Box Operator you need to allow public access on the machine. To set this do the following: Utility/Counter -----> Administrator Setting ------> User Auth/Account Track ------> General Settings. Turn User Authentication (ON/MFP), and select ALLOW public user access. Apply these changes, it will ask if you want to clear data, say YES. Exit out of the admin settings, and you will be presented with a user/pass screen, select "public user access" to get into the copy screen. Try connecting to machine via the Box Operator application. Once connected, go back into: Utility/Counter -----> Administrator Setting ------> User Auth/Account Track ------> General Settings. Turn User Authentication (OFF), Apply these changes, it will ask if you want to clear data, say YES Exit out, and the normal copy screen will appear. You should now be able to access the Box Operator again with no troubles.
