KOREAN LANGUAGE PROGRAMThe Kookmin Korean Language Center offers regular and short-term courses for international students.
The regular course is designed to provide intensive education for students in speaking, listening, writing and reading skills. This 10-week course will have five four-hour-long class sessions per week. The course is divided into six levels: beginner 1, beginner 2, intermediate 1, intermediate 2, advanced 1, and advanced 2.
The short term course is designed as an intensive Korean Language primer, exposing students to Korean language and culture over a three-week period. This three-week course will have five classes per week and include cultural experiences.

The International Affairs Division is where globalization is managed at Kookmin University. The office was established to meet the growing needs of Kookmin students’ study abroad programs. The division is in charge of the International Agreement, study abroad programs, and International admissions(Undergraduate and Graduate Programs).
Kookmin University developed global strategy and promote numerous international initiatives on campus. As of January 2019, Kookmin University partners with 425 universities in 59 countries. More than 1,100 of its students take part in study abroad program annually, and 2,800 international students are currently studying at Kookmin campus

Founded in 1946 as the first private institution established in Korea after its liberation, the university has grown to reflect the country’s progress throughout the decades. It has since expanded and diversified into 14 colleges and 14 graduate schools.
KMU’s renowned faculties are Design, Engineering, Business Administration and Natural Sciences. The university also emphasizes on the research and development of Information Technology, Environmental Science and Fermentation Technology. With emphasis on these activities research, KMU continues to initiate and manage flagship projects such as Unmanned Vehicle, Nanotechnology, Robotics and Military Technology in order to build a constructive and positive future for the mankind.
Kookmin is dedicated to training its students to be global-minded. STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMKookmin University manages study abroad program for prospective international students. Kookmin invite over 500 students annually through study abroad program nominated from partner universities. Foreign exchange (and visiting) students study in Kookmin for 1 or 2 semesters registering English-taught courses as well as Korean Culture and Language courses to learn the specific fields or Korean Language and Culture.
Kookmin offers abundant English-taught courses in most of the majors for foreign exchange students, as well as interesting General Education courses taught by the professional instructors of their fields pf studies.
Kookmin provides several housing options for foreign students, all of which are located within the 10 minutes distances from the campus either by walk or by public transportation.

Founded in 1946 as the first private institution established in Korea after its liberation, the university has grown to reflect the country’s progress throughout the decades. It has since expanded and diversified into 14 colleges and 14 graduate schools.
KMU’s renowned faculties are Design, Engineering, Business Administration and Natural Sciences. The university also emphasizes on the research and development of Information Technology, Environmental Science and Fermentation Technology. KOREAN LANGUAGE PROGRAMThe Kookmin Korean Language Center offers regular and short-term courses for international students.
The regular course is designed to provide intensive education for students in speaking, listening, writing and reading skills. This 10-week course will have five four-hour-long class sessions per week. The course is divided into six levels: beginner 1, beginner 2, intermediate 1, intermediate 2, advanced 1, and advanced 2.
The short term course is designed as an intensive Korean Language primer, exposing students to Korean language and culture over a three-week period. This three-week course will have five classes per week and include cultural experiences.

STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMKookmin University manages study abroad program for prospective international students. Kookmin invite over 500 students annually through study abroad program nominated from partner universities. Foreign exchange (and visiting) students study in Kookmin for 1 or 2 semesters registering English-taught courses as well as Korean Culture and Language courses to learn the specific fields or Korean Language and Culture.
Kookmin offers abundant English-taught courses in most of the majors for foreign exchange students, as well as interesting General Education courses taught by the professional instructors of their fields pf studies.
Kookmin provides several housing options for foreign students, all of which are located within the 10 minutes distances from the campus either by walk or by public transportation.
Kookmin University strives to provide better programs and services for students, and always eager to be an advanced higher education institute for the global world.
