KPFF provides full service bridge engineering services to public and private owners, including new and replacement bridges, bridge strengthenings, seismic retrofits, bridge rail retrofits, and construction inspection. Bridge Engineering Hilgard Interchange, La Grande, Oregon This bridge is one example of the multiple projects designed by KPFF through ODOT’s OTIA III State Bridge Delivery Program. This 145-ft single span steel plate girder structure has integral abutments and is constructed at a high skew to minimize the bridge’s overall length. The bottom flanges and webs of the plate girders have parabolic curvature for aesthetics. At KPFF, we strive to be more than consultants. London Road Bridge over I-5, Cottage Grove, Oregon KPFF provided structural engineering services for this 265-foot, two-span replacement bridge spanning over Interstate 5.

Highway 99/I-205 Overcrossing, Clark County, WashingtonKPFF provided structural engineering services to widen the existing NE 20th Avenue Bridge spanning I-205.

Ward Road Bridges, Clark County, WashingtonDesign of two curved, super-elevated single span bridges, both skewed to avoid impacts to the sensitive environmental resources.

Broadway Bridge Load Balancing, Portland, ORKPFF provided engineering analyses needed to keep this 90-year-old Rall Wheel bascule bridge operational throughout two separate renovation projects. Balance adjustments allowed existing machinery to raise the spans, even with up to 31,500 pounds of hazardous material containment installed.
