Beauty is not created by adding one more detail; it is conceived by removing the last.

The design of our collection represents a way of thinking that reduces each product to the essential components without compromise. Luminance and illumination are the primary goals. The luminaire requires a deep understanding of the intrinsic nature and unified elements of architectural styles. It constitutes a detail that can reflect and integrate in architecture within the purest form, enhancing and adding value to its environment. The essential elements of each luminaire are thus condensed into basic forms, philosophy which Kreon exploits throughout its whole collection. This approach to design requires that the details of an object are not merely decorative, but are key to the fundamental essence of a product. Kreon products, in their simplest forms, do not result in austere minimalism, but in architectural objects that communicate with space, regardless of style. This, combined with careful planning, represents the true meaning of “architectural lighting”.

Aplis

Circular integration

When Le Corbusier published “Vers une Architecture”, a new approach to architecture was developed. It was a period of “purification” of forms and celebration of plane surfaces and orthogonal angles. Kreon has always pledged the values of Le Corbusier’s postulate looking for sober, efficient and geometrical purity throughout its right angled collection. In an attempt to improve the dialogue with the increasing demands for organic forms within contemporary architecture, Kreon sets a milestone in its long time orthogonal philosophy: Aplis. A round recessed spotlight system, able to respond to the highest qualitative and functional requirements of architectural lighting design.

Aplis 80 is developed for MR16 and LED (CRI ≥80) light sources. Aplis 80 can be rotated up to 360° and tilted by 30° without compromising the recessed position of the lamp or the glare control. The luminaire can aim at both vertical and horizontal surfaces. Aplis 80 is equipped with a filter holder and anti-glare ring. Aplis 80 is designed for use in new construction. The internal gear can be handled from the room side.

Cadre

Light will be an integral part of architecture

Cadre is a pendant lighting fixture that follows Kreon’s focus on harmony between lighting and architecture. Kreon has always stressed the need to think along the architectural process and therefore offers lighting solutions that merge into the whole. Lighting becomes architecture. Unlike a traditional pendant fixture, Cadre does not try to float in the space: it wants to be part of it. The distinctive frame is both an open and an enclosed architectural structure that draws a person’s attention to a selected view of the space.

The concept of Cadre is based on two identical aluminum extrusions connected by an adjustable suspension system. Two different suspension systems and a choice of a telescopic system with visible aluminum parts finished with white or black leather are offered. A cable suspension with a matte black finish is also available. Cadre T5HO is designed for use with the T5HO lamp and is equipped with a 5/8”deep-set high efficiency dark light louvre or diffused plexiglass.

Diapason

Light made orientable

Thanks to a gyroscopic principle, Diapason can be easily positioned in any direction in order to highlight architectural details. A revolving stop locks the fitting in any position. Different reflectors are easily installed by being clipped into the housing after the luminaire installation and connection. A wide range of light sculpting accessories is available such as dichroic filters, lenses and louvres. The fixture can be directly mounted with a square base, a gearbox or in track systems, depending on the installation requirements. It is delivered in silvergrey, black or white wet paint.

Dolma

Light becomes architecture

Dolma communicates elegantly with architecture. It consists of floor-to-ceiling conduits made of anodised aluminium. Made-to-measure lengths are available. The visible portion has a u-shaped configuration and the profile system can be applied both indoor and outdoor. Dolma can be installed in plasterboard, wood, metal or other dry building materials. Dolma Outdoor can be integrated in specially conceived slots in concrete or brick walls that require finishing. Different numbers of luminaires can be installed in one single Dolma. Two different widths of the supporting profile ensure more possibilities to find harmonious proportions.

The appearance of light

Down is designed for recessed use and is characterised by the deeper position of the light source in relation to the ceiling level. Down provides the feeling of light without the sight of light. For new construction installation, the enclosure is multifunctional and can be used with several lamp options ranging from halogen to high-pressure discharge and LED lightsources. Each luminaire has a choice of required and optional accossories that can be chosen depending on your project. Down is a square recessed spotlight system, able to respond to the highest qualitative and functional requirements of architectural lighting design.

Nuit is an elementary designed beam that can be used as a massive line to bring graphical elements in your architecture. The advanced double focus LED system requires only a slim gap of 2/5” to unfold its light. Its basic form draws minimal attention and can easily be used in combination with other Kreon tools of light, creating an artistic yet responsible use of light sources, paying particular attention to energy savings.

Prologe complements the collection based on our principles for working with light: quality, architectural integration and design. The name “Prologe” has been adapted from “Prologus in Antiphonarium” a manuscript by the mediaeval music theorist Guido d’Arezzo. Developed in partnership with Bartenbach Lichtlabor, Ligna consists of a continuous illuminated line. It is fitted in Prologe extruded profile and has excess light outputs of 50%. Crucial for architectural lighting, the luminance flow is barely interrupted due to an innovative optic LDP (linear deglaring prism). This optic is set back above the ceiling level to provide an unsurpassed lit effect. Installation and assembly into the profile can be done without any tools thanks to the intelligent construction and modulation of the fitting.

Rei is a lighting system that reflects its historical reference "Side". It's the continual evolution of LED technology that has opened an attempt to an analytical breakdown, an operation of visual reduction and optimised output and glare control. Side

Architecture becomes light-active

Side’s concept is highly flexible and can be used as floor washlight, a wallwasher or as an indirect light fitting. Placed at low heights, Side is a tool to illuminate circulation paths. When combined with more powerful sources tungsten halogen lamps, Side can be installed on the ceiling and have a wallwash function. Moreover, Side can also be placed on the wall above the eye height and wallwash the ceiling, generating indirect ambient lighting. Plasterkits are available for the application of this product in various surfaces. The visible trim can be delivered in a silver or white finish powder coating.

The ultimate reduction of language elements

Side in-Line revisits the concept of Side, but eliminates any visible frames. This results in design only driven by its function, generating and controlling light by means of asymmetric reflectors, that in turn guarantee a maximum output with minimum glare. Light becomes theatrical

Up adds dynamism to your architecture: walls become sculptures and pieces of artshow their mysticism. As the name implies, Up directs its light mainly upwards.Depending on the light source and on the use of interchangeable reflectors, Up can feature narrow to wide angled uplight beams. A deep-set effect is ensured by double glazing, resulting in reduced glare. Supplementary filters can be placed as an extra glare preventer and to shape light. Up is a recessed fixture made of high-pressure die-cast aluminium with a silver wetpaint finish. Through a simple concept, Up translates an eloquent and distinctive light scene.

Liability

Kreon Inc. products are manufactured in compliance with ETL standards and are delivered with

assembly instructions. Each and every modification applied to the product after purchase and/

or failure to comply with the assembly instructions may result in the loss of characteristics and in

a dangerous situation for its user. Kreon Inc. disclaims all liability for products subjected to any

modification whatsoever or for which the assembly instructions are not complied with. Kreon Inc.

cannot be held liable for any technical errors in this catalogue.


General

Kreon Inc. requires a 50% deposit & signature of approval to process your order or reserve items

in current stock and final balance is due before shipment/delivery date unless different stipulated.

Prices quoted are ex-works and do not include installation. If not clearly specified all fixtures will be

delivered without light bulbs and transformers. Handling, Delivery and/or Shipping from the Kreon

Inc. warehouse to final job site are NOT included in the merchandise value. Special prices quoted are

specific to this project only. Prices may change with changes in quantities and/or specifications.

Acceptance

The confirming sales order and the terms and conditions specified herein constitute the entire

agreement between seller and buyer relating to the purchase of goods on purchase orders submitted

by the buyer. Any modification to the confirming sales order must be in writing and signed by both

buyer and seller to be considered valid.

Prices

All previous price schedules are superseded. Price quotations can be obtained from our New York

headquarters or from authorized Kreon Inc. representatives. Prices are subject to change without

notice. Quotations are valid for a period of 30 days only. Kreon Inc.’s order confirmations are final

and binding and any subsequent change is subject to ability to conform. All Kreon Inc. prices are

ex-works. Prices do not include lamps, power supplies, installation, shipping costs, special packing,

insurance or any sales, user, excise or similar taxes unless indicated in the purchase order or in this

catalog.

Terms

All payments are to be made on or within the terms granted and specified on each individual invoice.

Amounts past due are subject to a finance charge of 1.5% per month. Customer will be charged

for all costs incurred for collection of overdue invoices which may include attorneys’ fee and legal

expenses. All invoices are payable in U.S. funds. Kreon USA terms are 50% deposit, balance due

before delivery unless stipulated different. Prepayment deposits are due upon issuance of sales

order and/or invoice. Kreon Inc. may change the General Terms and Conditions of Sale without

notice to the customer.

Orders

All orders must be in writing. No verbal orders will be accepted. Orders are subject to our

acceptance at Kreon Inc. headquarters by our issuance of a formal sales order confirmation and/or

invoice and they are subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein. The Kreon Inc. sales orders

and/or invoice supersede all prior writings and may not be modified except upon issuance by Kreon

Inc. of a revised invoice. No orders are binding on Kreon Inc. until issuance of the sales order and/or

invoice. Client is solely responsible for the architectural specifications submitted to Kreon Inc.

Order Changes and Cancellations

Accepted orders cannot be canceled by the customer without prior written consent of Kreon Inc.,

then only if Kreon Inc. is indemnified for any loss or expenses incurred. All cancellations are subject

to a cancellation charge of 30%. Partial or full down payments on orders are not refundable. Special

order merchandise like built to order profiles are not subject to change or cancellation under any

circumstances.

Shipments

The method of shipment and carrier is at Kreon Inc.’s discretion unless otherwise notified by the

purchaser, in which case the freight charge will be added to the invoice. Kreon Inc. will endeavor to

ship all orders in one shipment but we reserve the right to make partial shipments. All delivery dates

quoted are approximate only. No responsibility is accepted for delays beyond Kreon Inc.’s control.

All shipments travel at customer’s risk. Factory responsibility ends upon acceptance by the carrier.

Title and risk then pass the customer and any damage arising in transit should be filed promptly with

the carrier. Claims for shortages or damage in transit must be filed by the consignee with the carrier.

General conditions of sale and delivery

Inside Delivery

Unless specifically requested by the purchaser, all truck deliveries are dock side. Additional inside

delivery services must be specifically requested and are subject to additional charges which vary

according to size and weight of shipment and distance of inside location.

Installation of lighting fixtures

Buyers are solely responsible for the correct and appropriate professional installation of fixtures

according to local electrical codes. Kreon Inc. will provide installer with comprehensive installation

manuals accordingly.

Claims

Kreon inc. is not responsible for damage or loss suffered in transit or in storage. All merchandise has

been carefully inspected and packed according to, and frequently beyond, ICC standards. At time

of delivery, customer should examine cartons carefully and note visible damage or shortage on the

delivery receipts. The consignee must claim any damage or loss at delivery with the carrier. Consignee

is also protected against concealed damages if claim is filed with carrier. Any claims against Kreon

Inc. for defects on lighting fixtures must be made to Kreon Inc. by the buyer in writing within 5 days of

delivery. Failure to make such a claim shall constitute full acceptance of the merchandise and waiver

of all defects, shortages, and errors ascertainable under inspection.

Returns

No merchandise may be returned without Kreon Inc.’s written consent, shipping instructions and

Kreon’s Return Goods Authorization. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted and returned freight-

collect. Authorized returns will be subject to a 30% restocking charge. In such case as the goods

received are not in the original condition in which they left the factory, an additional charge for

restoration to that original condition will be made. Return transportation must be prepaid.

Warranty

The merchandise distributed by Kreon Inc. is manufactured in accordance with the highest standards

of design and manufacturing, and is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship

for a period of 2 years from date of delivery, under normal use, professional installation and under

conditions for which the product was designed. The warranty will be honored only if the customer

sends written notification of the defective merchandise to Kreon Inc, together with the original or

photocopy of the original purchase receipt. The customer must not return defective merchandise

until receipt of Kreon Inc.’s authorization. When shipped to the indicated address, shipping charges

must be fully prepaid. During this warranty period, Kreon Inc. will repair, or at its own option, replace

free of charge, such merchandise as shall prove to be defective. Kreon’s repair work only concerns

work required to correct the reported defects and this warranty covers the work done for Buyer and

other materials furnished in the process of making repairs. This warranty does not apply to damage

resulting from installation errors, accident, alteration, misuse, tampering, negligence or abuse. In no

event shall liability under this warranty exceed the original purchase price of the fixtures. Transformers

and lamps are covered by their respective manufacture’s warranties and Kreon Inc. accepts no

responsibility for these components. The foregoing shall constitute Kreon’s sole warranty and

exclusive remedy of customer. These warranties are in lieu of all other warranties express or implied

including without limitation-implied warranties of merchantability or fitness. Kreon Inc. disclaims all

liability for consequential damages. All other warranties are hereby excluded. This warranty may be

altered only if authorized in writing by Kreon Inc.

Design

The products shown in our catalogue and described in our price list are, and remain, property of

Kreon. All dimensions and weights shown are to be considered approximate. Kreon Inc. reserves the

right to make changes in price, dimensions, design and/or construction without prior notice.
