Contain some commercial works. There are some of my early student assignments in university and some AD com-paigns, such as BMW 1 Series, BMW M Gladiator online campaign, BMW M3 China Launch, Sidel information graphics, Ducumentary “Ai Weiwei Never Sorry”. Those works are my team works in Beijing Studio, from which I gained precious experi-ence of advertising and group work.

The Spatial Practice Pro-gramme at Central Saint Martins, explores a slippery territory of creative design operations across space and time, relevant for contem-porary practice in our urban environment. This definition expands beyond architec-ture, and into a considera-tion of the city and its more complex social, political, eco-nomic and temporal narra-tives. Courses within the pro-gramme explore the human environment as a complex and living network of people, buildings, spaces, objects, interactions and stories, and in doing so we seek to chal-lenge and transgress the cur-rent disciplinary boundaries of architecture, art, commu-nication design, curatorial practice and landscape, de-veloping a more radical re-thinking of professional prac-tice and operations for the design of cities.

“ARUP”-THEMUSEUM OF THE FUTUREPART 02

A collaboration between Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design MA Crea-tive Practice for Narrative Environments and Arup Foresight & Innovation.BACKGROUND: The world of Museums is changing. Over the past 20 years, changes in society and technology have fundamentally reshaped how Museums deliver ex-periences, how spaces are designed, and how Museums function as places of cul-ture, education and entertainment.Over the coming decades, a reduction in funding, a need to attract broader audi-ences and a rise in alternative forms of culture, education and entertainment all put pressure on Museums to innovate and adapt to the changing user needs.

“FOINIX” IDENTITY & EXIBITION,PART 03

2010, the graduation project. In this project I cooperated with two friends from different majors, one from textile design, another is from fashion design. We decided to build a fashion brand to-gether, for the teenagers. They did all the products such as bags, clothes, jewel-ries, I did the identity, presentation method and the exhibition design. In this pro-ject we really want to follow the idea “Make waste profitable.” However, we didn’t achieve the desired result, but I will continue develop it.

OUR STORY OF CROSS-OVER

PICSOF WORK-ING

The story begins with the girl(the one wear a baseball hat, her name is Aimee, from textile design) came to ask me to cooerate with her—to do our graduation design together. I just agreed immediately, becuse I have been always want to do something different and challenge, especially the multidisciplinary col-laboration, I was seek for

opportunity to do that for a long time. After some disscussion, we decided to invite another girl( the girl next to Aimee, she is Carmen, from fashion design)that we can do a real fashion brand.

THE STORYBEGINSWITH HERMESWINDOW

One of our tutor came back from HERMES, he showed us a lot of HERMES window displays, they are so magnificent, sensational and elaborate. Each of them telling a different stroy with the relevant scene. We were deeply

fascinated by these gorgeous displays and the stories behind them. Our tutor encouraged us to do the graduate exhibition with our own story, so we started to frame up the whole thing.

INTRO-DUC-TION

“FOINIX” is a fashion brand which aim at the market of the teenagers. They are a specific group which used to be neglect by the fashion industries, but they really call for their own brand which can stand their own character, satisfy their demands of fashion as well. The core idea is to outline the teens’ sprite accurately and can apparently distinguish from the other fashion brands.

However, fashion is not only limited on appearance, the one who have the fresh ideas also can be defi-nitioned as “fashion”. So the brand also advocate and transmitte fresh ideas. Therefore, the brand idea is “Using recycled products is a trend of fashion”. The following is the tags of teenagers.

Here is the range and the style of the prod-ucts, all these pictures just as references to show the meterial use-ages and the final ef-fect we want to follow. For instance, the jew-elry use screw as the basic shape, instead of use precious metals, and the headdress just use papers as row material. Maybe all the raw material are not expensive, but the design and producing process is comlicated, the recycling of mate-rial and sustainability is an important stamp of the brand.

EXHIBI-TION

We were required to presentedour graduate works in froms of ex-hibition, so I designed the display space, it was recording the size of the exhibition hall, I planned to use waste cardboard as the ma-terial for all the devices jagged, the size is 8*4*3, but we only have two days available to prepare the exhibition in the exhibition hall. So we only did 6*4*3 in total.

Some of details are different from the orignal design and some just not finished, the final meterial change to KT Board, because it is more easily to fixation.

It was a little pity didn’t real the orignal design senery device, but it was a precious experiment and experience to do multi-disciplinary cooperation, it’s an useful lesson, a indelible memory as well.

STORY-BOARDOF THE ORIGINAl PLAN

1. I just walking on the street, when I saw these posters I was totally amazed by them. “Ah! It is a fashion show, with a rock live...sounds very interesting! 22th May, Saturday...I definitely gonna watch it!”

3. “This fashion show devices are really fabulous, especially the geometric iron sheet, make this place looks very metallic! My heart itches for the start already!”

4. “Owe! it’s soooooo cool! The music is awesome, although the band is at the middle of the stage, but the light is dark. When the models come out, there are follow spot light on them, make the clothes quite eye-catching.”

2. “Emm...seems I came a bit earlier, this place looks really like an unused factory... “EXHIBITION AT THE GROUND FLOOR”, well, I’ll go to see it after the fashion show.”

STORY-BOARDOF THE ORIGINAl PLAN

5. When I was on my way to the exhibition downstairs, I heard the same music playing, I follow it...owe, so many people in there, they looked very exciting and keep talking about it.

7. The clothes on the models exhibited too, so that we had a chance to take a close look on them.

6. The devices on the wall were quite similar to the ones in the fashion show, and a video played on the TV...the same band and the fashion show played on it! There were also other things like bags and jewels exhibited.

8. The jewels were made of small mechanical elements, but quite exquisite, they seemed specially processed.

STORY-BOARDOF THE ORIGINAl PLAN

9. Owe! there was a handicraft workshop in it, a girl came and said I can jion them if I want, it was an open workshop to the public, to encourage people make stuffs by themselves with all the waste mechanical elements.

11. When I finished it, the girl sended the chain to me and a DIY JEWELRY book, it was really wonderful that I havd a first-hand experience to turn the waste materials into nice jewels.

10. I sat down and began to make a piece of chain with the tools and screws, the girl stood by me, taught me how to use to tools and the processing and milling. After two hours, I finally made one.

PHOTOGRAPHY OF ALL STYLESPART 05

I’m an amateur of photography.I bring camera when I am free, to capture the thing that impress me, no matter scenery or people. The thing of subtle, colorful, the moment with emotion and smiles that attracts me the most. Whenever I went to a place, I’ll take some pictures of the local scenery and people’s life, the picture can tell you the story of them. I also took pictures of my graduation works for the clothes and the jewelries.

CAGLIARICITY BRANDINGPART 06

Develop a “getting back to nature “ alternative living experience (a camp or new kind of settlement) located in the national parks and UNESCO sites. Look at the Nuragic bronze age dwellings (extraordinary beehive domes structures dot-ted round island). Is there potential for learning traditional skills in this new visitor experience. Consider similar experiences on offer in eg in Wales: CAT (Centre for Alternative Technology), Teepee Valley.
