KusikayKusikay presents Chaska, an Andean story, a spectacular and modern world-class show in

Cusco. The show tells a story based on the culture, myths, beliefs and customs of the

Peruvian Andes man, using elements of various scenic arts where theatre, dance and circus

blend together in a unique presentation. Kusikay is shown at Teatro Garcilaso in Cusco,

recently renovated with the latest technology and only a few blocks from Cusco’s Main

Square, with a great capacity that accommodates more than 500 spectators. Kusikay is

conformed by a cast of about 40 first class, local artists -the best of Peru for the world.

ChaskaChaska, a dynamic, breathtaking and colorful presentation, will show us the history of pre-

Columbian Peru; from the mystical god Cons to the Moches – a fascinating culture from

Peru’s north – all through the world wide famous Incas. Chaska, an Andean story, captures

our imagination with a show that delivers the essence of our people and culture. Chaska is a

young woman who has to save her town. She starts her journey to the Apu, god of the

mountain, to offer the gifts it needs in order to accomplish her mission. She climbs the

mountain accompanied by the wise old man of her town and the funny and amusing Ukuku.

On the way up, both Chaska and the audience, will understand that her journey is much

more significant than we ever imagined.
