EfS Evidence  Key Learning OutcomesIntroduc�on

This L4 SpecialistExercise and FitnessTraining a�er StrokeInstructor qualifica�on

(EfS) is the first and only evidence‐based,accredited and endorsed L4 strokequalifica�on available in the UK.  Deliveredby a mul�disciplinary team, it is also the onlyqualifica�on to be developed by a referencegroup of na�onal experts in stroke research,clinical and exercise science prac�ce.

The course (incl. assessment) uses a blendedlearning approach, of face to face learningand an online training portal, to teachstudents to apply knowledge, throughproblem solving, to the prac�ce of tailoringthe STARTER  research programme to thediverse range of func�onal impairment(physical, sensory and cogni�ve) met  instroke survivors. All approaches arealigned with the 2010 Exercise A�er StrokeGuidelines.

The EfS Level 4 Exercise Qualifica�on isaccredited by Queen Margaret University,endorsed by the UK Stroke Forum and bySkills Ac�ve, recognised by the Register ofExercise Professionals (REPs) (20 points)and aligned with  the benchmarks of theChartered Society of Physiotherapy andthe Quality Assurance Agency for HigherEduca�on.  Addi�onal resources are availableon the LLT Student Pages during andfollowing the course.
