- 5. They really wanted you to see the bathrooms . . .
- 6. In the short-term, were looking for something pretty simple . . . A sign, a token, a gesture that says: people care. There are 350 pupils in this school; 70% of them are on government subsistence (many of those because they come from blood feud families); They lack very basic supplies . . . School bags Notebooks, pens, paper Art supplies And more advanced supplies are a dream . . . Geometry tool kits (protractors, compasses, etc.) Math and science teaching tools
- 7. IN THE LONGER-TERM, WED LOVE TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS

RELATIONSHIPS COULD INCLUDE: Facebook-friending teachers and getting to know who they are, what they need; Coordinating more structured relationships between student-teachers here and teachers in Albania to share teaching strategies, provide moral support, develop cultural exchanges; Coordinating informal activities that pair American students with grade- level peers in Albania; Defining La as a partner school and developing structured and formal links between service / student/ organizations here and Albanian
