our MISSIONLake County Haven empowers homeless women and their children to achieve permanent, independent living.

Every day, there are hundreds of people in Lake County

who are homeless. Because of cuts in programs and

agency closures, those numbers are only increasing.

Additionally, many of the health and safety services that

used to be available are no longer so. For that reason,

once a person becomes homeless, she is likely to stay

that way.

Lake County Haven has resolved to address this

problem. Two years ago, we conducted a thorough

needs assessment of the area. The conclusion was clear:

more shelter beds with supportive services were greatly

needed. The Haven developed a plan and then set about

raising the funds to make this dream a reality.

In 2018, our fundraising goal was achieved! This was

made possible due to the passion, commitment, and

generosity of our donors. We are so grateful. LCH is now

moving forward with acquiring a site for the new home.

We look forward to the day when we can open the doors

and start serving more women and families. We vow to

be the final shelter that our residents ever need.

ADOPT-A-NIGHT Corporate Partnership Program Adopt-a-Night is a program designed for individuals, families, clubs, houses of worship,

and small businesses. You can adopt any night at our shelter for $250. By doing so, you

are sponsoring that night…providing the means for shelter, food, and services for all the

shelter residents. This program offers a wonderful way to connect with our shelter and

its residents. For more information please visit:

www.lakecountyhaven.org/get-involved/adopt-a-night/

This program shows what happens when community-minded businesses pair with

local nonprofits to make a difference. Our Corporate Partners help in a variety of ways

including lending business expertise, working on agency projects, financial support,

and lending executives to work on leadership projects. Staff of involved companies

gain the ability to make a difference, an opportunity to make new connections, and the

satisfaction of helping others.

To learn more about this program, please call 847-680-1901.
