Maintenance

The surfaces of high pressure decorative laminates are highly resilient to wear, scratches, boiled water, food acids, alcohol, oil, grease and ordinary household chemicals. They are also able to retain their original factory condition for many years.

Nonetheless, the following simple precautions should be followed:• Wash regularly with mild soap and water. Dry the

surface with a clean cloth or soft paper towels to prevent soap streaks.

• Avoid using gritty or abrasive liquid cleaners and cleansing powders.

• Liquid cleaners (without abrasive materials in the formulation) are also very effective on decorative laminate surfaces for the removal of superficial stains that may not come off with soap and water. Some liquid cleaners and polishers also provide a thin protective film of wax on the surface.

• Avoid the use of bleaching compounds or solutions.• Use a trivet or hot pad underneath hot skillets,

casseroles and appliances. Otherwise you can use a rubber mat that will permit air circulation underneath.

• Do not use your decorative laminate as an ironing board surface.

Lam Chuan also advises customers to inspect their products thoroughly during the installation process. In the event of a manufacturing fault, the customer’s sole remedy is limited to repair or replacement of all or any part of the product that is defective at Lam Chuan’s sole discretion. This warranty is not transferable and expires upon resale or transfer by the first consumer purchases. This warranty also does not apply to defects or damage arising from: 1) accidents, abuse or misuse, 2) exposure to extreme temperature, 3) improper fabrication or installation and 4) improper maintenance.
