DfE Parent Survey - We want to hear from you! To help us give your child the very best education, we’re asking for honest feedback from parents and guardians on a few key topics. These include how we, as a school, communicate with you and how we respond to your input about your child’s learning.

Your feedback will help us understand the things we’re doing well, where we can improve, and what’s really important to you as a parent.

The survey closes Friday 25 September and will take no more than 10 minutes. It’s confidential and you can complete it here:

PASTORAL CARE WORKER

It’s natural for children to feel anxious sometimes. In fact, different anxieties often develop at different ages and stages.

Here are six ways to help children with anxiety:

1. Acknowledge your child’s feelings.

2. Encourage your child to do things they’re anxious about.

3. Wait until your child gets anxious before trying to help.

4. Praise your child for doing things they’re anxious about.

5. Avoid labelling your child as ‘anxious’.

6. Seek professional help if you’re concerned.

PERFORMING ARTS

The Primary Choir was involved in the Riverland Music Festival Choir Day on Thursday August 27 at Loxton Lutheran Primary School.

In the past, the choir has been involved in a performance at the Chaffey Theatre, Renmark. However, due to COVID restrictions, this event was not possible.

A modified event was held, with students from around the Riverland gathering for a morning rehearsal and then a filmed performance. The performance will be made available to families for download.

Nirike, Chloe and Cyle performed solo roles during the performance.

The students will now be preparing for possible local performances.
