    WE SHALL NEVER FORGET! The Massacre at the

    Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church

    Charleston, South Carolina

    On Thursday, June 18, our hearts were broken and in shock by the horrific killings in Charleston, South Carolina at the EMANUEL AFRICAN METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH. Could it possibly be true? The pastor, The Reverend Clementa Pinckney, and eight of his church members were shot dead at a Bible study at church. Nine people in church killed! Another mass killing!

    The news reports on television and all forms of media communication gave non-stop reporting of what happened. They repeated details over and over again giving us painful information of what we did not want to believe was really happening. We cried and prayed asking for God to help us. It is His help that we need now and forever.

    A SPECIAL TRIBUTE Dedicated to the Loved Ones, Members, and Friends

    of Pastor Pinckney and the Members slain at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, S.C.

    Help Them Make It Through by Christine V. Mitchell

    Dear Father God, to You we humbly pray, Remembering the lives now taken away; The families now left with broken hearts,

    Deep down inside all torn and ripped apart. Their precious loved ones rest within Your care. Please help the many grieving souls down here;

    The parents, siblings, relatives and friends Who hold to treasured memories, like gems.

    We try to share with them this time of grief

    And still look on perplexed in disbelief. Tomorrow may be like a long dark night.

    Please shine into their darkness; send Your light. At Christmastime and special times of year, The joys of family sharing bring such cheer; But losing loved ones leaves an empty space Deep down inside that no-one can replace.

    Let trouble in the land, O Lord, decrease.

    Let many come to know You, Prince of peace. The answer for this world is found in You.

    Your words of life are faithful, sure and true. O wrap Your loving arms, dear Lord, today

    Around your children; comfort them, we pray. In Jesus Name, O Lord, we call on You.

    Be with them, Father, help them make it through.

    Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. (Romans 12:15)
