HOUSING AND MEALSHousing is located at the Global Village across the street from the southeast gate of Peking University. Students share a two-bedroom, one-bathroom unit with one other student.

AVAILABLE COURSES2nd Year Chinese: This course is designed for students who have successfully completed one year of Chinese or its equivalent. It emphasizes the ability to communicate and function accurately and appropriately in modern Chinese.

3rd Year Chinese: This course is designed to help students who have studied at least two years of Chinese (or equivalent) to achieve greater proficiency in the oral and written use of the language through reading, listening, speaking, and writing. More attention will be given to developing the natural flow of the spoken language, expanding vocabulary, and writing short essays in Chinese. The readings cover a variety of current topics related to political and social issues.

4th Year Chinese: This course is designed for students who have studied at least three years of Chinese or equivalent. Students will receive further training in all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The regular textbook will be supplemented with writings from Chinese newspapers, magazines, Internet sources, and films.
