Students and the community— Working together!
The Fallsburg Student Government Association and Teacher’s Association would like to thank all of the donors and volunteers who made the May 7th blood drive such a success. Ms. Stephanie Perna and Mr. Brendon Sapolsky did another excellent job as student coordinators, with the final total of 34 whole blood units and 5 double red cell units. In total, these donations can be used to help up to 112 patients. Our last blood drive was significantly helped by the parents, former teachers, and even former students who came in to donate or do volunteer service. Spring and fall tend to be critical collection times, as many regular donors do not donate during the summer months. Unfortunately we are going into the summer season with critically low levels of all blood types. If you were unable to donate at our last collection, but still want to, please visit www.redcross.org to schedule a donation at another site. Our next collection will be in October of 2015. The exact date will be announced in September. We will gladly accept any com-munity members who wish to contribute. Have a safe and healthy summer! Mr. Thomas - FTA Blood Drive Coordinator

Fallsburg High School pulled out all the stops with the recent pro-duction of Little Shop of Horrors! We have so many people that par-ticipated and contributed. So much goes on behind the scenes and we thank everyone who helped make it a great success. Thank you - ac-tors, directors, musicians, lighting experts, the band, custodial staff, maintenance… We hope everyone had a great time!

The Girls Golf team has had
quite a year! This was the teams 6th year in a row as O.C.I.A.A Division III Champions! The team had an impressive 11-2 overall record NYSPHSAA Team Scholar Athlete recipient (requires a team GPA of 90 or
above) Two Players qualified for the Section IX Girls Golf Tournament held at Apple
Greens golf course in New Paltz, N,Y. (Madison Levine-12th Grade and Hayley Weiner 8th-Grade)
Madison Levine advanced for the third year in a row to the NYSPHSAA Girls Golf Championship June 13-14 at Delhi College Golf Course.
This year the team also took a field trip to visit the personal Memorabilia room of retired LPGA professional Sherri Steinhauer. Ms. Steinhauer was a scholarship golfer at the University of Texas and played on the LPGA tour for 26 years. She won two Major championships while competing on the tour, played in 21 U.S. Opens, competed for the United States team in four Solheim Cups and is cur-rently competing on the Legends professional golf tour. Ms. Steinhauer gave the team a personal tour of her memorabilia room which showcases her personal golf-ing career from age 12 to present. She was nice enough to give the students some inspiring words that will last a lifetime, and she also autographed some golf balls for the kids to take home. Thanks to all the athletes
