1. Understand the machine's current condition (jams and error, needed consumable parts) before visiting EM call or PM-Call. 2. Prepare all consumable parts that exceeded Target and replace them on a PM-call, replace any parts that exceeded life you have now at the EM call. 3. Take the necessary actions for the jamming and errors.

Ask the customer about the condition of the machine and validate any issues they have. Ask Questions to find out if there are any following issues on the machine? 1.Copy Quality 2.Jamming 3.ERROR 4.Other issues (Copier Only) 5.No Problem
Point: - To perform efficient maintenance, we need to
ask the customer about machine condition.
Check the Serial Number
Ensure the serial number on the machine matches the serial number that you are dispatched to.
Point: - If the serial number is incorrect and there is
more than one machine at the account that is down please notify dispatch.
Perform COM-TEST
1. Check the ADS and make sure the Monitor symbol is indicated.
2. If the Monitor symbol is indicated, execute COM-TEST. If not, do not execute COM-TEST.
COPIER > Function > INSTALL>COM-TEST
If COM-TEST is NG, fix this issue at first. If you can’t fix this issue please insure the issue is resolved prior to leaving the account.

Check Service Log
1. Check Service Log Point: 1. Check the log to see if there is any reoccurring
issues. If you see the same issues listed on the log, then the root cause hasn’t been fixed.
2. Check what parts were replaced recently. These parts should not be replaced again for the same issue.
3. If the problem seems to be related to the previous call, check what the previous tech did.

Check the Drum counter
1. Check the Drum counter. Point: Replace the drums by referring to the value below to eliminate drum over life related issues. COPIER>COUNTER>LF Y/M/C-DRM-LF 100 % or above K-DRM-LF 100 % or above COPIER>COUNTER>DRBL-1 PT-DRM PT-DR-Y/C/M
Check the P/U roller counters Reset the counters if parts are replaced. *Check that physical condition of the part matches the counter
Check the roller counters. Point: Replace the rollers over 100% to eliminate parts over life related JAM. Make the following Copy/Print samples from ADF and Copy Glass. 1. PG10 2.CA7
Any issues, resolve them as needed.
Inspect paper Feed
Make copies from all Cassettes using at least 5 originals in the ADF.
Make copies using the following cassette. Point: Make following jobs. 1.Double sided 2.Staple 3.Hole punch If you see the JAM, find the cause and fix that issue.

Clean ITB area
1. Remove the ITB Unit 2. Clean ITB cleaning blade area 3. Installing the ITB Unit Align the triangle mark in the guide on the left with that in the ITB Unit, place the shaft [A] of the ITB Unit[1] on the rail [B] of the guide, and install the unit while shifting it to the left.
Points to Note at Installation • Install the unit while the Primary Transfer Roller is
completely disengaged. Check that the Disengagement Cam is located at the position shown below.
• Check that the shutter of the Waste Toner Ejection Mouth is closed.
After Installation : Execute [Auto Adjust Gradation > Full Adjust] and [Auto Correct Color mismatch]
Clean the Registration Patch sensor Unit
To see the patch sensor, open the shutter [1], and clean the Patch Sensor [2] using the blower [3]. After cleaning, check that there is no soiling caused by toner on the surface of the sensor. If the soiling cannot be removed, then while pressing the shutter [1], clean the Patch sensor [2] in the single direction with wet and tightly wrung cotton swab. Clean the leading edge [4] of the pre-transfer cover sheet with lint free paper.
Do not use alcohol because it causes melting and clouding of the sensor window. Also Do not dry wipe the sensor window because it is charged to attract toner.

work while in Sleep mode or when the power was turned OFF while in Sleep Mode, The Primary Transfer Roller will not be disengaged. This will not allow you to remove the ITB Unit.

Clean the Fixing unit area.
1. Open the right door and grasp the light-blue handle [1], and remove the fixing unit [2]
Point; Clean Parts Counter: Copier>Counter>DRBL-1>FX-UNIT The parts counter of the fixing unit is automatically cleared when a new fixing unit is detected. When FX-Unit is cleared, FX-LW-RL /FX-UP-FR /FX-LW-BS are also cleared at the same time.
Clean the inner Right door area
Point: Clean the guide plates , paper paths for any paper dust or stray toners.

Clean the Drum area / Light Guide
Clean the upper surface [1] of the Light Guide of each color drum unit using the blower [2]
Do not touch the surface of the drum. Be sure to block light to the removed Drum Unit using paper.
Clean the Laser Slit /Dustproof Glass
• Open the Front Door and remove the Dustproof Glass Cleaning Tool [1]
Insert the Dustproof Glass Cleaning Tool [1] into the hole [2], and clean the glass by moving it back and forth 2 to 3 times in the [A] part Do not insert the Dustproof Glass

If you perform work while in Deep Sleep mode or when the power was turned OFF while in Deep Sleep Mode, The Primary Transfer Roller will not be disengaged. When removing the Drum unit, be sure to do so after returning the machine to a Standby state.

Empty the Waste toner bottle
1. Check the customer’s inventory of waste toner bottles. 2. Open the cassette 1 and then open the Waste Toner
Door 3. Remove the Waste Toner Container
Point; 1. If the customer doesn’t have a waste toner
bottle in their inventory and the bottle in the machine is nearly full, let the customer order new one and empty the waste toner bottle while on site to prevent a recall.
Empty waste toner container every service call After emptying the waste toner container clean the waste toner case window (FL0-7007-000). Replacing the Waste Toner Container after the preparation warning has been displayed clears the parts counter automatically. Parts Counter: Copier>Counter> DRBL-1>WST-TNR

Ask the customer if everything was addressed. Do they have the necessary supplies and ask if they are satisfied with your service.
