Laundry

the most elegant landmark in Mumbai and the world’s first runner-
up Hotel amongst the Hyatt international hotels for the year 2004.

Laundry’s Vision
The Hyatt Regency Mumbai laundry vision is to provide
clean, hygienic, and crisp linens to the housekeeping and F&B
outlets and fresh uniforms to the staff daily while meeting to
the guest personal needs of a friendly, prompt and efficient
laundry service of international standard and quality.
Laundry’s Mission
The Laundry intend to achieve its objective through an in-
house and sophisticated laundry plant run by humble,
dedicated, sincere, hardworking and multi-skilled staff using
the latest techniques and methods which are in themselves
unique in service standard and exceeds guest expectations.
Laundry facts The laundry is located on B1 level just next to the staff cafeteria
“Tiffins”. The entry to the laundry is opposite the service elevator at B1.
The laundry is spread out on an area of 652sq.mtrs built at a cost of Rs.2 crore.
There are in all 28 nos. different kind of laundry equipments imported from various places around the world such as USA, Denmark, and Italy.
The laundry is operational on a 24 hour basis for 365 days in a year.
The laundry team comprises of a Manager, 3 Team leaders and 26 laundry attendants.
Laundry’s Role
The laundry role is four fold.
To provide daily clean room linens such as bed sheets, bath towels, pillow covers, etc. to the housekeeping department.
To provide daily clean linens such as dinner napkins, table cloths, trolley covers, banqueting linens to the F&B department.
To provide daily clean uniforms to all the staffs of Hyatt Regency Mumbai.
Last but not the least to meet the daily guest laundry needs of the Hyatt Regency Mumbai.

Working hours: 7am to 7am

Morning General Afternoon Night
Laundry processed daily: 3250kgs (9000pcs)
Staff uniforms: 1300 pcs
Room linens: 4500 pcs
F&B linens: 2500 pcs
Guest laundry: 350 pcs
Laundry revenue daily : Rs.27000
Guest laundry servicesThe laundry offers the following services to the guest Normal service: Laundry collected by 1200 hrs is
delivered the same day by 2000hrs and laundry
collected after 1200hrs is delivered the next day by 1400hrs.
Overnight service: Laundry collected by 2300hrs is delivered the next day by 0900hrs at 50% extra surcharge.
Express service: Laundry is delivered within four hours from the collection time at 100% extra surcharge 24 hrs a day.
Pressing service: One hour pressing service
